Greast knife

This is a well-made, solid knife that I've had for 2 years. All OTF knives have a slight amount of play in the blade, but it's very mild in mine. I love this knife as a pocket carry when camping/fishing/hunting. True one-handed opening is a great convenience. For those who worry about inadvertent deployment, the thumb switch is requires a long, forceful push to activate. In addition, the blade has very little force when opening and detaches from the mechanism if there is any resistance. It would likely pierce the skin but little more.

Pros: Overall Quality, Handle Material, Weight, Ease of Opening, Pocket Clip, Blade Material, Blade Sharpness
Cons: Sheath

Great Knife but Limited Use

The sheath quality isn't great but this is a pocket carry knife. Great blade but limited use as a tactical knife. I bought it more for the novelty. It's a fun knife and very little blade play when deployed. Great quality as I have found in all of my Benchmades!!!

Benchmade Infidel Auto

This is a superb knife. I honestly believe if someone has anything bad to say about it, there has to be an ulterior motive. I have carried mine for the last 4 years and haven’t had a single problem with it. One of the first things you do with this knife is throw the sheath away!!!!! It’s got a clip, put the damn thing where it belongs, your pocket!!!! The only way you are going to have it open in your pocket is if you slide the button forward. And as easy as that sounds, that button is under a great deal on spring pressure. And saying you’d take “6 ea Cold Steel AK-47’s” over the Benchmade Infidel,is like saying you’d rather have 6 mopeds instead of a Harley. I guess it’s a different mindset, being a professional, I’d rather have quality over quantity. The Flee Market mentality isn’t one my occupation can afford to take.

Cons: Pocket Clip
I didnt pay anything for this knife so i guess i cant complain too much. I am a lifelong benchmade loyal customer. I have had at some point or another just about every auto knife that benchmade makes. I thought the OTF design was so cool and with the D2 double edge blade the sharpness / toughness od the blade are terriffic. My biggest problem is pocket link/ coins getting caught up in the "opening" slot that faces down in my pocket. Obviously carrying the knife in the sheath would fix this but thats impractical. I have broken about 3 or 4 pocket clips in the 3 years that i have had this knife. Benchmade always sends another with no questions asked. I have to send my knife to benchmade about once a year to be serviced because the action becomes very sluggish. Overall not a bad knife just not worth 450$ ! 200$ maybe... Just my expieriance

Waist of money

Luckily I got this knife for free, and that is the only way I would acquire this garbage. You cannot carry this without the sheath because it may open on your pocket. It just looks and feels flimsy. I would rather buy myself 6 Cold Steel AK-47's than pay $380.00 for this knife. At least the AK is reliable. Do not bother with this disappointment.
