Love the dagger/stiletto/spear blade shape. The axis lock is a blast and satisfies the fidget fix. The thumb disc works well and the pocket clip is one of the best. Deep enough and not too tight. Most clips these days are way too stiff & tight and tear up your pocket. The handle scales are carbon fiber impregnated resin as opposed to fiberglass so I’m happy with that as well. Very light and sturdy. Glad I went for this one.

Long, lean, agile.. this is everything I hoped for when I saw this knife. It maneuvers in the hand really easily, flipping from icepick to conventional and back very smoothly. I'm quite happy with the handle material, the blade shape, and the overall (really impressive) size. The only con at the moment is that it's not yet easy to deploy the blade: the thumbdisk works but after a couple of hours of playing with the knife, my thumb started to resent the bite of the disk. I may need to tweak the pivot to see if I can get the blade to snap out more easily. I'm intrigued by the alternate clip as deployment aid, but am concerned that putting it on (and tip-down no less) might hinder the lock-release. I do appreciate that Benchmade included it (and tool and LokTite, no less!) in the package.

Pros: Weight, Ease of Opening, Blade Sharpness
Cons: Handle Feel, Handle Material
CF elite not for me
Was so excited for this one. The original was sweet but no axis lock and it went down the road. Saw this thing and had to pre order it. The addition of the axis lock makes this knife so sweet. The only problem I have is I’m not a fan of the CF Elite scales. The CF Elite just has a cheap feel in my opinion. The liners are very thin and with the CF Elite scales the handle flexes quite a bit. If they had stuck with G10 and thicker liners this knife would be my all time favorite. Don’t get me wrong I still love how light, slim, and easy to carry this big ass knife is. Just wish it had G10 scales.
