Virtually a Gold Class Knife

I will try to keep this short because the other reviews are well written. However, what you cannot appreciate until you hold this knife is how well everything is executed. All of the edges - even those on the pocket clip - are smooth and rolled. The fit and finish is a step above. I have several Benchmade knives, including a Barrage (assisted opening), a 940-1 (carbon fiber), and a 943. I also own several Pohl Force knives. The Auto Fact is in an entirely different league. It justifies its price. I highly recommend it.

Flawless Victory

Bought this knife for a good friend's birthday. He is a Benchmade fanboy and both of us were super impressed with the Auto Fact. I couldn't stand not having one for myself so I bought a second. Very Very happy with this whole package. The knife is very light and the blade is high quality S90V and can handle all my EDC tasks with ease. Came very sharp OTB. Such a fine precision instrument as well. It's like a high quality piece of jewelry with tight tolerances and perfect refinement. Gorgeous blade, solid feel, absolutely zero play or looseness when open with or without the lock engaged. I have the Auto Bedlam also which is awesome but the Auto Fact has become my high quality Benchmade favorite!

So Nice-looking and well-made that it is almost Gold-Class

This knife is precisely assembled and of very high quality materials. If it had a Damasteel blade, it would be Gold-Class. The bolsters are dark gray, anodized aluminum that blend well with the back carbon inlay. The safely engages and disengages positively with a "click". The knife is so light it will be perfect for carrying in the linen pants that I wear in the summer. The blade comes out fast but doesn't "kick". KnifeCenter sent me a factory-sealed knife that was in perfect condition. I couldn't be happier with my purchase.

One of the best Benchmade knives ever made

This knife is fantastic. It’s the best auto I’ve ever owned, one of the best Benchmades, and just a great overall EDC. The firing mechanism is snappy and the carbon fiber is a classy touch. This is a keeper.

Yes it's a little pricey but its one of the finest Benchmade knives on the market. Pull the trigger and buy it, you will thank your self when it arrives. This knife would easily match up to Gold Box quality.

It's Aɓout Time!

I bought the original 'Fact' back in the day, and was flustered and disappointed by my inability to deploy it as it should have been deployed! Ì bought this beauty, and now a second one, because my daughter called me the day the first one was delivered and praised how beautiful it was and how well it now deployed! (hint, hint, hint!) I wasn't sure I would ever get to see the one that had just arrived! Suffice to say, she was right; beautiful and beautiful deployment! To be frank, this beauty has become a collectable, only! It is way too big to be carried legally in New York State, and I would hate to have it confiscated, and have to add the fine to the cost of the knife! But it has found a good home!

Too darn nice to beat around as an EDC so I only pull this thing out of the garage for dress and when I want to show off. Absolutely beautiful design and material details with a solid build and lock. Black blade is a perfect color offset. Fits nicely in the hand but I would rather the deploy be a push-up instead of a pull-down. For me, I have to hold it a little bit weird to open it because of this. The deep-carry clip is great because of the length of the knife. No doubt what the design intent is for this knife, and it lives up to it as the nicest stiletto you could own. Another winner from Benchmade.

Almost Perfect

Two reasons I give my Auto Fact 4 out of 5. First, for whatever reason, my knife has one scale that isn't completely tight. It's slight, but it's there. Second, I use mine as an EDC, and would love it if Benchmade made this model in a 3" or 3.25" blade. That would be the ultimate EDC. Honestly, I would have given it 5 stars if both scales were tight when purchased, but if I could get tight scales and a 3.25" blade in this style, I'd give it 6. Knife is sharp and reasonably easy to sharpen if you know what you're doing. Holds edge reasonably well also. Overall a great knife but QC cost the rating a bit for me.
