Perfectly centered and smooth action. Could be sharper but at least the bevels are right. I loved g10 bug out, but I really love the mini!

Benchmade 533 S30V steel blade
Bought my Benchmade 533 with S30V steel blade on 1/2/2023 from my local Benchmade dealer and it has been one of my favorite knives to carry I like the look and feel of it and how light weight it is. Haven’t had any issues with it at all and have used it a few times but not enough to sharpen it yet this is my first knife with S30V steel blade and can’t wait to see how it actually sharpens when it comes time to do that. Would definitely buy another benchmade again I actually own four of them now.

Ever since i saw the 533 Mini Bugout was released i have been searching everywhere for it. When I saw KC had an Orange one in stock i had to snag it up. First Production run out of 1200 mine is toward the middle of the numbers which doesn't matter to me because i am going to use it anyways like a knife is supposed to be used. I ordered it Monday late afternoon and it was at my PO Box Wednesday morning. What more could you ask for. Thanks again KC!!!!!!

Size wasn't surprising, handling requires time. After break in..... voiding warranty with aftermarket scales, it's a very capable bit of Kit. Liked it before, much better now......for me. Jf

Buyers Regret
I have only owned Case and Buck knives. One of my friends hyped up Benchmade as a superior knife. I wanted to get a small blaze orange knife for outdoor work and hiking. I saw this and watched a bunch of videos/reviews on it so I went ahead with the purchase. Immediately after unboxing I noticed a rough opening swing. After a few hours I realized it’s not the blade itself but the Axis mechanism. You can see where the machining isn’t perfectly square on the axis pin so it doesn’t have a full contact with the back part of the blade. Even after using the recommended oil from the manufacturer site, it still has significant resistance when opening. The box/instructions said the warranty is void if you disassemble? Not sure what I’m gona do but definitely consider buying a different knife. This was my first impression from Benchmade and it’s really just the over priced name with a big following. Yeti brand of knives. Also the blade isn’t that sharp.
