An overall great knife.

An overall great knife. Knife feels very solid, the axis lock is also very solid. Handle design is excellent, deep finger grooves allow for ultimate grip and control. The Rukus carries very well in the pocket for such a large folder, draws very easily. Pocket clip is barely noticeable when gripping the knife, doesn't dig into the hand, a definite plus in my book. The blade is thick and sharp,all the knife wants to do is cut and the balance is very nice. Most of the weight is right around the lock and base of the blade. If you are looking for a large folder to get the job done, then the Rukus is the knife you want.

A big, high quality folding knife

I love big folders so I had to pick one of these up. Benchmade's high quality standards and tight manufacturing tolerances have not changed a bit from the day I bought my first Benchmade knife over 10 years ago. The axis lock is solid as always, a simple and strong mechanism that requires only running water to clean. The clip is well placed and folds over from the point of attachment so the knife doesn't appear to be the beast that it is while riding in your pocket. I love the look of the combo G-10/Micarta handle scales and the dual thumb studs. Be sure to check your local laws, as this is a very large knife that would probably go unnoticed in the wilderness, but may draw some attention in urban areas due to its 4.25" blade length. An outstanding knife, and remember, Benchmade carries a lifetime warranty on all of their knives.

The Rukus

I have this knife which is a bit heavy but the blade is tip up while in the pocket and allows an easy snap opening as your remove it from the pocket. The blade is sharp, very sharp, and holds the blade very well. It also has a solid, sturdy feel when being gripped!!!!
