Best 940 Yet!!

I have 3 940's this one is my favorite. I love the look and feel, and the copper accents are so awesome. I like the backspacer it gives the knife visual appeal and allows for cleaning. Nice job Benchmade! Knife center has a great selection and fast free shipping.

BM 940-04 Osborne is a great knife

This is my fifth Osborne and I rate it highest out of all of them. The quality is top notch; the blade opens and closes easily via the Axis lock or the thumb stud and the feel and look of the "denim" is authentic. I especially like that even after a month, the patina has already changed based on use, similar to my Levi's. Thanks to KnifeCenter for all they do to support my collection/habit. Benchmade knives make up more than 70% of my collection; they set the standard for folding knives.

Amazing jife (jean knife)

I've been wanting a denim micarta knife for a while. This micarta is very nice—it's not too fuzzy or rough like some other micartas I've had. It's only like that a tad where they milled the contours on the scales.

The scales are rock solid with very little flex. I think the durable denim material helps compared to other micartas.

It's the traditional backspacer for a 940, but with the normal scales, so there are gaps on either side of the spacer.

Denim Micarta Brings the 940 to Life

Just received the 940 Denim Micarta with M390 and I have to say, it’s fantastic. The denim micarta scales give it a warm, worn-in feel that makes it the most comfortable 940 I’ve ever held. I’ve had aluminum and G10 versions, but this one really stands out with more character and grip. Pairing that with M390 steel makes this knife an instant favorite in my collection. At first glance it seems like “just another EDC,” but when you really live with it, you feel the intention Warren Osborne put into it. He wasn’t just designing a knife—he was designing a tool that reflected his background as a rancher, a craftsman, and someone who wanted to leave something enduring. The 940 is slim but strong, elegant but practical, and it carries that quiet toughness of a man who worked the land and left his mark.

Consistently satisfying

Benchmade has always been consistent in the quality and workmanship. The Osborne is a prime example of that. My compliments to the craftsmen who obviously care about the product they produce.

Butter knife

This knife is awesome when it comes to fit and finish but I am tired of paying benchmade prices and getting butter knife edges. Do better Benchmade maybe send your people to train with cold steel the know how to sharpen a knife. I cannot give a good rating on a knife this expensive when it comes with such a crappy edge.
