Arguably the ideal EDC

Everything about this knife is high end, maybe not highest end, but design, lock, blade steel and shape, handle materials, action, blade size...Yes there are better steels, different handles, nicer grips, but overall just a sweet knife. Only negative is price, but it just ticks every box, and if you're only getting one knife OR if you don't mind that high price, can't really go wrong here imho.

Benchmade mini Osborn bought new march 2023

In march 2023 I was in Florida on vacation with my parents and we went to the local bass pro shop and it was actually my birthday at the time so my parents bought me the Benchmade mini Osborn it’s actually one of my favorite knives to carry especially since my parents bought it for me it’s not a constant every day carry but I’ve used it several times and I’m really impressed with the S30V steel I haven’t had to sharpen it yet but can’t wait to try sharpening the s 30v steel because it’s something that I’ve never done before and I’m kinda curious to learn and see how it is to sharpen it I only sharpen using regular sharpening stones because it’s the way I was taught by my grandfather using antique Arkansas sharpening stones that belonged to his father and now I have those sharpening stones and use them frequently when sharpening because they remind me of my grandfather. I have a total of six benchmade knives now and really like the brand and the fact that they are American made in Oregon they are expensive because of the type of steel they use. I have used it for opening packages and boxes and it’s hardly made it dull at all.

Perfect!

Benchmade really nailed it with this one, scaling it down from the full size version sure is perfect. It's so light you forget your carrying it and it came as sharp as you'd expect from the factory and after a few passes on a strop it is razor sharp. The centering is dead on and the action is so smooth you just gotta love the axis lock. The blue liners make it pop against the black and the fidget factor is great. As always knifecenter has super fast shipping, nothing like getting " that orange box", if you're not sure about this one even at the price point it's at once you have it in your hands you can't put it down and won't regret it. Glad to have it in my rotation.

Excellent small knife.

The Mini Osborne is smaller than I expected, but it is a great knife. Fits easily in my pocket and is out of the way. Opens easily with one hand and the blade size and shape is perfect for every day carry. I love this knife and carry it all the time now. My go to blade.

Waited

This is my 4th Benchmade, no make that 5th. I've lost one over the years. I have wanted an Osborne for a long time, just for whatever reason I've put buying one. That is until now, when Knifecenter announced that Benchmade had made a mini of the Osborne. The day it was listed, I preordered one for myself, it is my birthday in a couple weeks. Love the look of the blue on black and will give it a serious breaking in. I could have used a deep pocket clip with the knife, that would have been a cool addition

Very Nice!

I bought this because I love the Osborne 940 shape. I wanted a smaller knife to carry on the weekends when I don't have as much pocket space, and this "mini 940" fits perfectly in the coin pocket of a pair of jeans. The fit and finish are flawless: perfect blade centering, no blade play, sharp factory edge, and the action is smooth; slightly stiff, but smooth, and it will certainly break in with use. This is my third Benchmade, and all three are excellent knives. And a big thanks to KnifeCenter for their great service!

My first good EDC

I'm a total newbie. First I bought the Civivi Elementum given I didn't want to spend a lot on my first knife. But I quickly realized it is low quality. I did a ton of research and ended up going with the Benchmade Mini Osborne. I totally love it. The quality is precision. I really like the size given it's small yet useful. I can barely tell it's in my pocket. It's super sharp and has great action. It was a little stiff for the first week or so, but broke in very nicely. The only change I made was putting a deep pocket clip on it. I highly recommend this knife.

Disappointed

I have 16 folding and fixed blade knives, 3 of which are Benchmades. My EDC is a Benchmade Mini Barage (also an Osborne design) that I've carried for 5 years and use for just about everything, even some things that pocket knives aren't intended for. It's indestructable and comfortable in my normal attire which is jeans or cargo pants. I wanted a smaller, lighter weight knife to carry in dress slacks, maybe even with the pocket clip removed. The Mini Osborne looked to be a good candidate, and when I found it at the Knife Center for $30 off MSRP and read the steller reviews, I ordered it without thinking twice. Big disappointment when I took it out of the box. The axis lock button felt very rough, and I'd be afraid to use the blade for anything but opening the mail. I returned it for a refund. The only reason I gave it 3 stars was one because it's a Benchmade, two because it IS a really cool looking knife, and three because of the size.

Almost excellent right out of the box

I have purchased multiple Bugouts, Griptilians, and a Super Freek, all were sharp right out of the box! This one won’t cut paper, but everything else is awesome! I heard that BM had issues with their QC, it looks like that is still the case… will keep and sharpen…
