Boker Plus Damascus Gent I Folding Knife

The knife was excellent except that the point was slightly bent to one side. I was able to bend it back until it was straight.

Boker Gent 1 Folder

I saw the knife at my friend and read the negative reviews. I disagree, in that: The wood is ebony and is very dark. It does not show grain, and the appearance is as I know the wood. I find the repetitive Damascus design attractive and well executed. The knife is overall attractive and it cuts well. I am acquiring one for myself.

Linerlock with an old school feel

I bought this knife due to its price point. I never found a Damascus folder cheaper than this. So my expectations were very low. Well, I was surprised. Besides the disfunctional pocket clip (screws sticking out too much) everything was acceptable. Teflon washers: ok, DLC liners: ok, Ebony wood scales: ok, blade pivot: nice, action: ok, scales on liners fittment: good, blade: good, blade material: very nice (I don’t mind carbon steel in pocket knives).

Seen Better

I was attracted to this knife because of the Damascus construction and the price. Well, you do get what you pay for. The finish on the wooden scales is the poorest I've ever seen in a production knife. I have no problem with the Damascus work, but the scales look like they were an art project for kindergartners! You can't see the wood grain at all, and the finish was applied very unevenly. I will keep and use the knife, but would not consider recommendation at all.

Overall Bad quality for Boker Plus - Gent I

The workmanship is inferior, I am disappointed with this kind of quality level. 1) The Ebony Wood handle : some portions of the wood are blurrish, some areas are more polished, and its surface is uneven. 2) Pivot Pin wooden cover: some burrs, not feeling comfortable to feel. 3) Liner lockup is late at 90+%..will get play very soon if flip afew more times. 4) Blade pointed tip is crooked. I definitely will not recommend.
