Cons: Weight, Pocket Clip

Distinctive design

I really like this little folder. Probably the fastest flipper I have and my ZT450 is fast. The Kwaik might be smoother. Finish is really nice with the G10 standing out from the liners nicely. Factory edge is average, but 30 minutes with the Lansky and it's shaving sharp. The tip of the blade is quite close to the edge of the liner. While it doesn't seem like it would be an issue, I will probably knock down the tip a few thousanths as a safety measure. I can snag it if I try, but I think it would be tough to do it by accident. The knife is a bit heavy....heavier than I thought it would be, but it's growing on me. It feels substantial in the hand for a small folder. The pocket clip while functional, is small and leaves the tail of the knife exposed....I have a deep carry clip on order. I'm giving it 5 stars because there's no 4.5 and I think it's closer to a 5 than a 4. Overall, a very distinctive, attractive and quite functional EDC flipper.

Smooth Flipping Action

I own several flippers and the detent on this one is perfection. It never misfires and it is easy on the index finger. I only own one other flipper this smooth and it is a Brad Zinker custom that is five times the price. Used primarily for cutting line and reducing boxes. It works well for these type of tasks, but it is not the best slicer due to the thick blade. This is a keeper and a user.

kwaiken mini folding knife

after reading the reviews about the full-sized kwaiken and its' issues about the tip of the blade protruding when closed I was skeptical. however I really like the design, and wanted a smaller folding knife than my previous edc. upon receiving the knife I was struck by the clean lines, crisp lock-up and razor sharp blade. however I am sorry to say that the tip of the blade does protrude through the open back of the blade just enough that you could a pretty nasty cut,if not careful. having said that ,it is such a small amount of material I decided to hone the tip with some 600 grit paper on a piece of granite ,and after a few minutes of polishing was able to rectify the problem.since this problem was known with the original design I would have hoped that this would have been addressed
