Holy Batman! Whatta knife!

This is one heckova full-fisted liner locking tactical knife. The blade has these super sized serrations that cut like a buzz saw with either a pull-down cutting movement or an upthrust cut holding the knife blade down in the fist. The knife fits perfectly in the hand and though the linerlock is just a wee bit tricky, it is secure as a vault. Buy it! The price is great and the knife superb.

Wicked Versatile

Obviously wicked looking but versatile and effective in every cutting task I've used. It rides a bit high in the pocket but I have no big problem with that. I can easily open it one handed despite the complaints of some reviewers. Perhaps there are exceptions but mine is very sharp and opens and closes easily. Secure lock when opened. Great knife for me. The appearance is utilitarian but the price is also reasonable in accordance. The tassel seems to be best used for quickly pulling the clip mount from my pocket but no real utility.

I like it

For the price this knife sales for, it is an excellent product. Good overall fit/finish. The gripes about the lock are overblown in my mind as Boker has designed the lock not to come unlocked too easily. It is stiff, but not hard to push over when you are ready to close it. Only thing I don't like is the clip placement, as I would rather have it placed higher on the handle. But overall, a really fine knife for the money!!

Very good EDC knife. The scalloped blade is very fierce looking, just wish it had been sharpened better. Mine is quite easy to open and close with one hand. One thing I don't like is that the blade is narrowed by the last scallop where it goes into the handle. This is not necessary and weakens the blade right at the pivot point. The pocket clip is a bit too prominent but if I remove it I will have an empty slot. They should include a filler piece for that purpose. Other than those minor things I am -very- pleased with it. Highly recommended.

Excellent!

This knife is far underpriced. Fit and finish are A+, locks up tight, opens smoothly, sharp as H*ll. Contrary to other reviews this will be a cinch to sharpen with a ceramic rod.I expected a "one-sided" blade, ground on one side only. Not so! Gound on both sides of fairly thick (1/8") blade. I ordered another one (for the other hand) within minutes of receiving my 'first' one. Scales fit the hand like they grew there. This is a serious piece of hardware. Will ensure a seat on any public transit!

My NEW EDC Knife

I am so pleased with this knife that's it's become my new EDC knife. It's a solid, well-built knife and came super sharp. Blade to handle ratio is excellent so it feels great in your hand and opens very smoothly with one hand and as fast as any auto if you choose with a flik of the thumb stud. The linerlock is perfectly alined for a secure lock, but is easily closed with one hand. NO complaints. A great buy at any price, but the really neat thing is Boker priced it to be affordable.

Very Nice...

The handle is a bit wide and bulky, kind of reminds me of my Strider karambit at about 1/7 th. the price. The blade took a razor sharp edge with a ceramic / diamond steel rod. The locking mechanism is sturdy. If you want an Emerson Karambit, buy this knife first…. Blade is wicked sharp, Nice knife! Primary uses – cutting rope or cord and self-defence. Knife opens with a flick of the wrist as well as a Spyderco. Kick ass value! Not so good for slicing apples or anything requiring a non-beveled edge...but works well and draws what you are cutting towards you. Great on my sailboat while rigging and cutting lots of line... The quality of the knife was more than I expected. Strange the knife does not show country of origin. Does not appear to be of chinese manufacture. The attention to detail is great........ The design is Australian. Where they had it manufactured is anyone's guess.

The bugger looks scary in pictures, looks scarier in real life. I did have the same problem with the stiff lock but I just ignored it. It only means that it will also stay solid when open. Though I think with a few close-open on this knife, it will eventually loosen. Surprisingly, I can open this with my thumb, albeit involving a hard push, but nonetheless, like I said above, it will mean that it will also stay solid when open. Compared to my S&W Karambit, this one feels lighter, the handle is quite smaller than the S&W Karambit but it fits my hand perfectly. It's a bit longer than the said karambit and they look like they came from the same family (handle and blade finish) LOL I like how you can move the clip around, but on the default factory position, it still sits high, so the butt sticks out of my pocket. The paracord tassle was a nice accessory but I've removed it and has since attached it to one of my bags LOL I'm in a dillema right now, I could not decide which to carry as EDC, this one or the karambit LOL Having this one and the karambit open in each hand should scare even the toughest S.O.B. out there LOL

I bought one and yes its not your normal utility knife, its made for selfdefence only. The finishing could be beter and the belt clip is very poor. It bends like nothing and eventually breaks off. A slasher it is for sure. Thanks Kevin.

how can i sharpen this knife

It's sure is a solid piece of steel, but the clip down grade the knife a lot. Also its a problem to sharpen it again, took it to a shop that sharpens blade but they don't want to take the risk. anyone got ideas how to sharpen this blade?

COOL KNIFE

This is a great knife for the money. Good ergos as well. No complaints, especially for the money. No issues as far as opening and closing. Those who are whining about their hurtin fingers should stop squating when they P. Use em and develop some calluses. Boker has been putting out some neat knives the last few years and I've been impressed.

Boker hawkbill review

Blade grind is unique and very sharp. Good fit, finish is o.k. Prior complaints about the linerlock seem trivial, this is not a one hand knife. Finish could have been better; several torx screws were over-torqued and their heads stripped. The included lanyard is useless for this product but will look good with another knife.

Good knife for the money.

This is a large well built folder. The G-10 handle is nicely shaped. The liner lock was a little stiff but smoothed out quickly with use. The lock up is extremely solid with no play. I especially like the way the blade smoothly flips out and locks with a flip pf the thumb stud. The knife is larger and wider than I expected and I see no use for the lanyard. These are minor quibbles however. the overall quality of my example is great!

TWO HANDED KNIFE

OK WHEN YOU OPEN THIS OUT OF THE BOX YOU WILL BE LIKE..... WOW THIS IS A BIG SCARY, COOL LOOKING KIIFE. YOU WILL OPEN THE KNIFE AND BE LIKE.... WOW THIS IS FRICKING AWESOME!!!! THEN YOU WILL TRY AND CLOSE THE KNIFE AND BE LIKE...... SHHOOOOOOT THATS WHY IT WAS ONLY AROUND 30 DOLLARS. IT IS NEAR IMPOSSIBLE TO CLOSE IT WITH ONE HAND AND IF YOU DO YOUR FINGER WILL BE IN PAIN (SERIOUSLY I DONE IT) Ok so now that we have the bad point out of the way i will get to the good aspects of this knife.... errrrmmmmm A BIG COOL LOOKING BLADE THATS VERY SHARP AND THATS ABOUT IT. And if thats what your looking for then buy it.

It is to hard to close. The metal on the liner lock is lower then other boker's. The lancet or cord is silly. Otherwise it is a great cheap knife. But closing it one hand is a drag. design flaw. Could be sharper

Nice, but dull knife.

The knife is impressive looking and can be used for more everyday tasks than you might think. The one I received however was extremely dull. That's a real issue with this knife as it is time consuming to sharpen.

not well designed; liner lock, no cut out or indent on opposite scale makes it verry hard to unlock and close this knife - I will take it apart this weekend and dremel it down a bit to make it easer to close. no I don't expect a lot from a cheep knife, but I do expext it to be usable.

The Batman!!

I have been waiting for this one. I will agree with the other reviewer-----the liner lock is somewhat difficult to push to the side in order to close the knife. At the same time I do feel this adds to the security of the lock and realize that it will not disengage easily. The overall feel and quality of the construction is great for the money. Nice G-10 scales! The clip can be changed for tip-up or tip-down carry but the torx in mine suck! One is stripped from the factory and cannot be removed...the other screw is fine. ????? I would say for the money and the coolness factor it is a great knife. It will not be easily resharpened when necessary.

for the money it is OK but the scales are too thick. it does not ride good in your pocket. it is not heavy just bulky. you really need a sheath for it. the blade was sharp and the lock was tight. like i said for the money it was fine just too thick and bulky.
