Boker Plus by Reate Zinker Urban Barlow Front Flipper Knife

I only use the product as an accessory, it’s like a gentleman’s knife and it is stunning. This is my first knife from Boker, I really like everything about this piece . From the size, blade shape, blade material, the Titanium bolsters, the orange/red Micarta handles to the blade steel. It’s small but not tiny, it’s very easy to conceal. Sometimes I forget I’m carrying this knife, when I have it on my person. The titanium pocket clip is very secure, the knife is not going anywhere. It can be a struggle sometimes, to take off the clip but I don’t mind it. It’s nice to know of that reassurance that the knife will not slip out or accidentally come off. Everything about this is very minimalistic, especially the knife deployment. At first, I couldn’t figure out how to take out the blade but then I saw the tiny thumb hole and some jimping on the top of the blade. The thumb hole is kind of difficult to grab on, it’s more like a nail flick that you find on slip joint knives. But the jimping on the top, is actually a front flipper mechanism. That front flipper doesn’t look that functional but once you get the hang of it, it’s works very well. Once I got in motion, I couldn’t stop flicking. It’s so fidgety, it works very well as a distraction and it’s snappy. The handle is goregous, not sure if it’s equipped with Linen Micarta, but it feels fantastic when grabbing this knife. I love the color, accommodates nicely with the titanium bolsters and pocket clip. The blade steel is something to talk about, it’s very sleek and pretty darn sharp. This is my first knife with K390 steel and it can cut. I tested on myself and shaved a good amount of hair from my arm. No injuries were made during testing, that’s what I usually do when I test the sharpness for new knives. The blade shape has a very settle clip point, which adds to the gentleman persona I get with this knife. I don’t think I will beat this knife up, I wouldn’t want to ruin the craftsmanship

Cool Knife, but gets rusted

It is an amazing knife design by Böker, love it. Size is good, and feels good in the hand and pocket. Only downside is that I had it a couple of months without use, and the blade started to rust =(

Fantastic knife

I love the blade. K390 hollow grind is AMAZING slicing through things. Fantastic. I don't know why they put the little slit in the blade and bolster indent. It's non-functional and not great design, IMO. I use the front flipping only as action, because that slit is useless for deployment. I get a secondary option, or a legacy "nail nick" for a barlow type design, but this is neither. That said, it is a wonderful blade and otherwise good design. I have enjoyed using it, and would give a 4.3, probably.

Pretty good

K390 is fantastic steel, holds a razor sharp edge like crazy. Thin, hollow ground blade is amazingly slicey, goes through cardboard like butter. 1 point off for the clip being way too tight. Nice clip, machined Ti, better looking than most, but a real jeans pocket destroyer out of the box. Mill or sand off 20ish thousandths so the clip doesn't rip your jeans up and it's a perfect little pocket knife.

Great knife! Non-existant spare parts

title says it all. think twice especially knowing the screws strip out quite easily
