Great small EDC, but tough to flip
I've been looking for a small, light-duty EDC knife, and this is one of the few that checks all the boxes for me: - One-handed opening/closing - Under 3-inch blade (for legal reasons) - Lightweight and comfy in the pocket - Understated, gentleman's-knife looks - Fidget-friendly - Able to pop open a bottle without damaging itself This knife has pretty much everything I wanted. The micarta looks great, the blade is a practical shape and a very nice steel. It's very comfortable in the hand, and works nicely for whittling, opening packages, slicing food, etc. I decided to remove the pocket clip. It's right-hand only, which is a problem for me, but I'd rather keep it inside my pocket anyway. My only real gripe with the knife is that the detent is very stiff. It's easy enough to open with the thumb, but extremely tough with the index finger. I received two copies as gifts; one is hard to open, and the other is impossible. If you're looking for a front flipper you can open seven different ways, this isn't it. But if you're looking for a small, lightweight, simple, elegant everyday carry, this knife might be a great fit.
