great looking knife --

This was the first Boker Arbolito I bought and the reason I now own two more in the series--this is a small, attractive and very well made knife. The blade steel is similar to 440A, came with a razor sharp edge and is very nicely ground and polished. The bolsters and handle scales are fitted perfectly and the stag is pretty even from side to side. It comes with a sharp looking interesting sheath---I am totally pleased with it and the quality reflects well on the craftsmen in Boker's Argentine factory-- A lot of knife at this price, five stars without any hesitation-----

Really beautiful knife at a really decent price

I bought this knife to skin small game and other assorted found dead things that I do taxidermy on. I had no idea what the quality would be like as I have never had a Boker before, but I'm really pleased with it. My first impression was that it's gorgeous. The fit and finish isn't perfect, but it's better than what I expected at the price point for a production knife. The red liners really add to it's overall aesthetic, and even though the handle is fairly slender it feels good in my hand. It takes a decent edge, definitely down to hair popping although I get the impression it'll take a lot of honing to keep it that way, but I'm ok with that. The blade shape is perfect for what I needed, almost a bird and trout knife but just a little bit more blade, it's perfect for skillfully skinning very small things while I'm sure it could handle up to deer size. The sheath is...interesting. It looks really cool, being alligator skin, but it leaves almost the entire spine exposed and while it's extremely easy to draw it's almost impossible to put it back without fussing with it to some degree. In my opinion it would be better with a more practical sheath. I don't think it's a very popular knife, but I recommend it just for it's slender but rugged good looks.
