handy boot knife

This is a well made knife that is sized for both compactness and utility. It has a full tang handle and is 440C which is better than many inexpensive boot knives. The kydex sheath is a perfect fit but I need to buy a TekLok to be able to secure to a belt. The sheath does have holes and slots for lacing with cord or straps. It came with a serviceable edge which I touched up with a DMT duofolding sharpener. The serrated section is aggressive and sharp. A good product especially at such a reasonable price.

really a fantastic piece. strong sturdy blade, great serrations, sharp out of the box, great balance and nice sheath. will hopefully prove to b an effective dive knife. another fine Boker product.

almost perfect

The grip is just the right size for any application. It is surprisingly light, what with all the material cut out of the handle. I bought this knife for a defensive blade to be mounted on my body armor. It is just little bit flimsy. One handle screw was loose as well, causing a slight click when gripped. It would be perfect if it was just a little bit thicker steel. I never like being able to bend a blade with my bare hand. It was not the sharpest out of the box, but this blade shape will always require extra attention in that regard. The sheath is also fairly versatile if you are willing to thread your own cord or straps through its many openings. In closing, It should be a passable stabber/defensive blade with medium utility. excellent in both respects when you factor in the price.

Will be used whilst spear fishing. Knife arrived VERY blunt!!!!! Also, the grinding on either side of the blade do not match leaving an unsymmetrical blade, a point of irritation. The sheath is nice and slimline, I however doubt the rivets used are stainless, hence will rust. Also the knife can relatively easily and accidentally be dislodged from the sheath, not good when diving. I also hope the correct heat treatment was applied to the claimed 440C
