Have It Your Way

Just the thing when a knife maker uses you for a guinea pig to try their new unique sheath attachment (straps, strings, unconventional carry positions, etc.). Attaches to most Kydex/Thermo-plastic sheaths. Can be attached to sheath for vertical, or horizontal carry, and in some instances, angled carry (depending on hole positions, or drill new one in sheath). I've gone to hardware store and purchased longer screws for some thicker sheaths, but not a deal breaker. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Tek-Lok is very secure, and can be trusted to remain secure on a belt/strap in wilderness/combat situations, yet can be quickly and easily detached by the user. Warning: be sure to use lock-tite on screws, or, they will eventually go missing.

Overall, good. 1 issue, the Chicago screws are a bit short if you're using them for a thick sheath.

A decent product

I bought this to replace the standard attachment hardware on the sheath for my Kabar Becker BK2. The original attachment hardware is just a large nylon loop, too large in my opinion for the size of the knife. It caused various problems whenever I'd wear the knife. The Boker Tek Lok resolved pretty much all of those probems nicely. There was an issue with the screws when I was trying to mount the hardware onto my BK2 sheath, they were too short. I ended up reverting to the original screws that came with the nylon part, and I had no further problems with it. One thing I did notice is that the Tek Lok has a small tab on the opening end of it that locks into place as an extra security device. This part, in my experience, was made of very fragile plastic and not well installed. It came loose when I tried to open it, and when I tried to reattach it to the Tek Lok, it broke in half. This doesn't seem to have had an serious effect on the Tek Lok itself. Otherwise, great product. I also liked the professional way that Knife Center goes about it's business. My order was processed and shipped quickly and without difficulty, and arrived much sooner than I thought it would. Overall, a good experience dealing with Knife Center, and I'll be ordering from them again in the future.

Not impressive

This item is suppose to be designed to attach a Kydex type sheath then wear on a belt. But the spacing for mouting is very limited thus reducing a secured and adjusted fit/mount. If this item was larger with a larger surface mounting area and mount/screw holes then this rating may be more favorable. But in my humble opinion unless you are sure this item will work with your specific sheath don't purchase this item.

Will not work at most backpacks

Did you get your fancy backpack, knife and tools beforehand? Then this item will more than likely fail its attachment job. This attachment part are 'not' meant for the majority of packs.
