Wood buy again... this is a great outdoors knife, well made, rugged, unless lost will out live me. When you first take it in hand and look at it it does seem a little goofy with a long handle and short blade, but then start to cut on some wood with it and suddenly it doesn't look so goofy... the handle fits in the hand perfectly, no sore spots develop in your hand from using a new small hand tool over extended repeated use, and before ya know it you have a beautiful bed kindling that makes staring a fire easy. Regarding the corrosion concerns; I always have a gun oil cloth in the EDC bag anyway, so after a quick wipe down at the end of the camping trip the blade showed no wear. I love this knife and would buy another for myself as well as for a gift.
