Awesome portable saw
My Browning just had its first real field test: I have a big trailer attached to my cargo bicycle with a wooden frame, and I needed to make repairs after a wreck. I am so glad I bought this thing. The trailer had six pine studs I needed to cut through and it was no problem for the saw: it took some elbow grease but not much more than a standard hand saw, and of course this is far more portable. The teeth are long and "fangy" so it does generate a lot of dust and the cuts aren't so clean - no problem for me, just FYI. It's also more comfortable and usable than a hand saw: great ergonomic handle, much easier to angle into weird places, etc. I cannot quite comment on the edge retention yet. I suspect it will last me a while since I am using it occasionally for light construction work on my trailer. Certainly the steel isn't junk, and the teeth are long and broad so (with patience) it should still cut most wood while a bit dull. Let me put it this way: it held up just fine for a reasonably tough afternoon job, and if I need to sharpen it more often then I would like then I consider that acceptable for an affordable portable saw. It seems like my honing steel works well enough. At this price I can't recommend the Browning enough. Even if you're a little more high-octane than my bicycle, this is a great and convenient saw to tuck into your tool box, trunk, etc.
