Better Than Expected
I like cleaver style blades, and the Kombou Kasta looked like a good knife. I was pleasantly surprised when it arrived as it was overall nicer than I expected. The quality was quite high and it had a great look to it. It is just satisfying to hold. Over the three years I’ve owned the blade I find I carry it often, even though I have several dozen knives in rotation. It is slightly heavier than some but the upside is the slightly thicker scales. This makes it feel more substantial in the hand, lending it more power for cutting and slicing. The blade shape is a good compromise between plenty of belly for superior slicing along with a sharp point for piercing. Overall, I have been very pleased with my purchase.
