Pros: Blade Material, Ease of Opening, Handle Feel, Handle Material, Lock Ease of Use, Lock Type, Overall Quality, Weight
Cons: Blade Sharpness, Pocket Clip
Smooth button-lock action, not sharp out-of-the-box
This knife has super smooth action and can easily be flipped open and closed using the button lock. Fit and finish is excellent and the blade is perfectly centered in the handle. HOWEVER, this knife was not particularly sharp out of the box. In fact, I was very close to giving it two stars after I was unable to sharpen it with a Spyderco Sharpmaker. However, upon close inspection I notice that the edge is a non-standard angle, much more obtuse then normal such that the Sharpmaker was not touching the edge. The only way I could get it actually sharp was using a Worksharp powered sharpened and starting with a COURSE sanding belt to re-grind the edge into something normal. You really should not have to use a course sanding belt on any new knife unless you got it at the dollar store. So, you need some sharpening experience before you buy this knife if you want something that is actually sharp. Good news is that the Worksharp got this thing super sharp and it has stayed sharp, so it is not a blade steel issue, just a blade edge angle issue, so borderline between 3-4 stars, but since it has stayed sharp, I decided to give it 4 stars.
