Buck 110 Slim Heritage

I thought when Buck came out the 110 slim pro it was the perfect knife. Classic design with modern materials. I love the Buck 110 but it is way too heavy to carry in a pocket. However there is something transformative about the classic lines. Once the Buck 110 Slim Heritage was introduced I had to have one. It does not disappoint! It weights less the my 110, more then the 110 slim pro and compared to any of my modern folders you can feel the substance of a solid knife. Even my three year old looks at it with longing. It has found a permanent place in my pocket!

Wonderful feel in the hand and pocket

Exactly what I've been looking for in a Buck. As the standard Buck 110 is the optimal fit/length for my hand, it is the opposite for my pocket in my trousers. I have instead decided to carry a Buck 55 and my spacepen in a leather slip that I made so it doesn’t jingle around and lays flat against my thigh. The 110/112 were just too large and would lay sideways. This new slim allows it to lay close to the thigh and the pocket clip was the cherry on top. This is the first time I pre-ordered a knife, my first MagnaCut blade and wow, I understand why these are well spoken of. Out of the box, blade was centered perfectly, still breaking in the spring on the lock. It has become my new daily carry and I highly recommend. Thanks for the perfect knife for my needs Buck.

Does not disappoint

Had to wait a while for my pre order but since I grew up with a 110 on my belt I had to have one. This is my first MagnaCut knife and has been in my pocket almost a month now with just touch ups and has held its edge very well. Excellent build quality and came razor sharp. Needs a little time to break in with some extra lube but will definitely be a regular in my pocket.

Excellent Knife

Im glad that Buck finally made this slim version of the 110 that was a plastic/synthetic handle version. I have been a Buck 110 fan and user for 30 years now, and always wished they made one you could easily carry in a pocket instead of a belt sheath. I have the classic 110, 110 auto elite, 110 slim pro, and now the 110 slim heritage elite. The blade on the 110 is infinitely more functional, in my opinion, than most modern knives. I can easily dig out a splinter or field dress a deer. The large scales and shape give my bear paw hands easy purchase without slippage, and the long sharp blade allows me to cut tight ropes on the farm, or easily open feed sacks. The 110 Slim Heritage Elite has excellent fit and finish. It locks up tight with no wiggle giving it a very solid feel compared to the other versions of the 110 I own. The pocket clip easily fits over my jeans pocket, and stays in place securely. In the past, I have had issues with Buck pocket clips staying put or bending. Haven’t had any issues with this one. The only thing that would improve this knife is a thumb stud.

Perfect knife.

My original 110 was given to me 51 years ago, and it has worked on 3 deer, an aoudad, rabbit, as a general camp knife, and it has pried clams open for bait in Mexico and much more. The ergonomics are perfect as it’s like a big knife but when folded easy to carry in its sheath. NOW, the slim 110 has the same ergonomics but is like nothing in your pocket. This thing is razor blade sharp, beautiful with it’s brass and wood handle, and the clip is really toward the end so in your pocket none of the knife sticks out. I got it thinking I may not like it and would maybe return it, and now it’s my everyday carry with casual clothes and I’m hooked. Using it versus other daily carry knives (going from Spyderco centofante and Benchmade mini bugout) is like using a steak knife to cut 3 onions, and then cutting 3 onions with a Wüsthof chef’s knife, just a vastly different experience. And the lock is super solid, like all Buck 110’s. My original is still solid after over a half century. It’s a 2 hand opener but I’m soooo used to my original I don’t even need to look.

This knife feels great in the hand and cuts like a razor out of the box. I keep thinking the 110 cannot get any better and Buck keeps surprising me.

Finally get to pocket my childhood dream knife. Deep carry, good steel and not so heavy it drags down my britches. I put a little thumb bar/stud thing on there and it’s an easy one handed open now. Still need two hands to close it, unless you don’t mind wearing bandaids.

Great Buck

I’ve had the 110 since I was in the navy. Always liked it so was happy to get the new slim version. It’s great. Carries well. I gave 4 stars because compared with my other 110 bucks the center is off and there is very slight movement in the blade. I’m not fussy generally because it still works great. I’m happy with the lighter version for sure. But with the increased cost I think it should be at least as “nice” as my older ones. I do, however, recommend the knife because it’s a Buck 😎

Still a great Buck

Great new version! I gave it 4 stars because of a couple things. I have other 110’s and have liked this knife since I was in the navy. The knife is just a tad under the overall quality of my older 110’s. Not centered but also not touching the liner so not too big of a deal. The worst part is that there is a VERY slight blade play compared to my older knives. I do recommend getting this Buck because it is great to carry in pocket. I love the Buck steel and design. Basically this is a super user. Marty M

this knife won’t shut up

this has to be the most annoying knife I’ve ever purchased. Sure the grind is amazing and it has that old school solidity in its construction and aesthetics but it knows it and will never shut up about it. it’s always “the harvest is nigh and my thirst is unending Jordan” this and “those young meat vessels smell ripe to me Jordan” that! If I had know it was going to be so needy I wouldn’t have bought it. I haven’t gotten a good night’s sleep in months and if it doesn’t shut up who knows what I’ll do. I’ve tried to throw it away several times but every morning it is back on my bedside table, open with its durable magnacut blade reflecting shadows behind me that when I turn around aren’t there. Also would it have killed Buck to inset the pocket clip?
