My First Auto!

I have been waiting for years to buy one of these excellent Buck AUTOMATIC KNIVES! Like their Custom Shop&Limited Edition knives,my new Ranger Elite came packaged in a nice magnetic closure gift box, with storage bag and leather sheath. The blade is scary sharp, perfectly centered, deploys like greased lightning, and, locks back up like a bank vault! Buy it!

Do Yourself a Favor

I bought this knife about 1 1/2 years ago . I had the brass 110 auto which was a beautiful knife , but for working around the yard i found the 112 elite auto being a little smaller just seemed a little easier to deal with then the 110 . . Gave the 110 to my son .. At first it seems like a lot of money considering you can go to W@lmart and get a standard 110 for about 40 bucks , but trust me you will be so glad you did..

SOLID STAG

If you are looking to intimidate, go with the 110. If you're looking for an everyday anvil-like automatic, the 112 is a honey. Heirloom quality. The G-10 scales and nickel bolsters add welcomed toughness to the grip. The black belt sheath and storage box top it off.

Fantastic Knife

I am no stranger to Buck Knives as my first pocket knife given to me by my father as a child was a Buck and I have acquired several more over the years. This by far is the best Buck Knife I have ever had the pleasure to hold. I wanted a full size pocket knife that was made of premium steel and automatic open. I also love the utility of the classic Buck clip point shape of the blade and the timeless look of the Ranger. To me, it’s just small enough to comfortably fit in a pants pocket and plenty big enough to handle any task I could possibly need a knife for. I am most impressed with the blade and after sharpening it with my process it produced an edge that blew me away. I work with fine wood carving tools and I am well experienced in fine steels and the best carving tools in the world. The edge I got on this steel was every bit as good as anything I’ve ever used. I was able to take fine shavings of endgrain maple then slice through paper and cardboard like it was a freaking laser. My only complaint is that the finer details of the handle could have been better coming from the factory. The transition of the bolsters and scales had some sharp edges as well as the inner edges of the blade cavity in the handle. This just meant the hand feel had a few sharp points. I am well capable of correcting these minor finish issues and was easily able to file and sand these points to create a perfectly smooth hand fee as the material of the handle are quality. It now feels superb in the hand as the texture of the G10 scales give a secure grip to the knife. The opening feature is smooth and strong like a fine firearm. It is simply the best pocket knife I own and I feel confident it will serve me well for many, many years.
