Cocobolo my @ss
The wood on this one is just awful! I have older ones with Cocobolo and they are awesome, best looking wood of any knife I have. This newer "Cocobolo" is the worst wood of any knife I have. The picture shown is nothing like the old Cocobolo, but is an improvement on what I received. What I have looks like the picture, but lighter and more orange. I can't decide if it looks like fake wood, or plywood with orange stain. Probably the latter because I'd expect better of fake wood. The only bonus is I always wanted to make my own handle of Walnut or Ironwood, but never wanted to sacrifice a 119 to do it, not even a Phenolic one. Now I have one. It's just a shame it cost me an extra $50. I could've put this $125 towards an actual nice one from the Buck custom knife shop.
