Great all around knife

This has become my favorite fixed blade, as it is my go-to edc knife. The sheath carries the knife high on my left side, allowing it to hide well under a shirt or jacket. The micarta grip works very well in my hand, especially when having to manipulate the knife/change angle of cut. I can quickly move the knife from left to right side, allowing cross-draw carry when in a car. On the trail, it works well with my pack frame waist strap, allowing me to quickly move it from belt to pack frame strap. It will cut. It will kill. It will handle batoning. It will shave and feather. The blade dresses up quick and easy with a small stone. It is not perfect, just a great all around edc.

Buck 245 Matt Would Go Fixed 4" Carbon Steel Blade, Camo Micarta Handl

I bought these to have an excellent General purpose knife. The looks and the feel as well as the expected quality of Buck Knife. I was not disappointed in any way. There are no details that I did not have before I purchased the knives that I would liked to have had before purchase. The initial review of the knife on the Buck web site (as I recall) showed the knife in and out of a leather scabbard. It did not come with one. I guess that as I finally figure out the one that did come with the knife all will be better.

Pros: Overall Quality
Cons: Sheath/Scabbard
I am very happy with this knife, it is of a very smart design and it is just the right size. The blade comes out of the box sharp and has stayed that way through several weeks of use. Overall fit and finish is excellent. I have used the knife for long periods of time and the handle remained comfortable and secure. Great design. I am extremely disappointed in the sheath, specifically with the BladeTech attachment. The hardware included with the attachment has screws that mate with hollow posts, theoretically they come together and hold the belt attachment to the side of the sheath. The problem is that the hollow posts are smooth on the back so when the screws reach a certain point the post turns along with the screw so nothing can be made tighter or looser. If there was a place for a driver bit to hold the post while the screw is advanced the problem would be solved. I am very disappointed in BladeTech for this oversight and in Buck Knives for allowing such an obvious mistake to go out with this otherwise excellent product.

Great knife, sheath attachment not so much

Awesome knife, great quality and craftsmanship but was unable to attach the Techlok belt clip because the holes did not line up with holes in sheath.
