Great economical all arounder that can do most things. It is light, has a good lock and a reasonable grip, the bright orange hanle is great so you can find it again if you have put it down in the bush.
I've been a Buck knife owner since I was 8 years old. I have a brand loyalty to this company, if only for my childhood memories. I was attracted to this knife by its size, color, shape, and price. Upon receiving it, I was a bit concerned about the factory blade sharpness. After using it to tear-down roughly 20 boxes, I did notice the blade edge lost some sharpness. Sadly, it's a bit challenging to open this knife single-handed. What's worse (or safer?) is that the locking release mechanism truly requires some pressure in order to release the blade from its locked position. The pocket clip is also extremely tight, making it challenging to secure quickly. Maybe over time these issues will ease -- only time will tell. Still, the blade aligns nicely in its handle and swings-open smoothly (when using 2 hands). The grip is fairly nice -- even though it could use some texture/checkering. The Buck lifetime warranty is also another really nice feature.
Impossible to open with just thumb! If it only had a thumb stub!
