Only had this knife for 2 days, so this is a first impression review. I am a Buck fan having used Buck knives since the early 1970's. This is my first China made Buck. When first opened the package I was surprised that the blade was perfectly centered and locked up very well. The micarta is just textured enough to give a good grip, but not enough to tear up ones pocket. The pocket clip is for tip down (I like) which is unusual for a top bolster (barlow type) knife. The blade is reasonably sharp and with a little touch up is very sharp. Being the same 420HC steel, I hope it holds it's edge as well of other Buck knives. It is going to be a good knife in my rotation of EDC carries. I was a bit reluctant since it was my first Buck from China, but I am quite pleased with it. Of course Knifecenter was it's normal excellent service and fast delivery.
This is a great EDC! Just the right size to carry in my pocket. I love the Buck quality and as always Knife Center's great price and reasonable shipping charges. I'll be back!
This is my third Buck Glacier. First was for myself (loved it); second a gift for Xmas to my nephew; third is for a friend. Great general use knife. Easy opening. Nice barlow type styling. Sorry to hear Buck discontinued this model in 2017!!! Why? It is such a nice knife.
