Great American Product
This knife doesn’t have an assisted open. It runs on ball bearings which ease the process. It has very little resistance when you flip it open, and you don’t have to worry about the spring making open in your pocket. This is a very nice knife, especially at this price point. The handle feels great in your hand. If you love buck and want a more modern looking EDC, this is it! The only dislike I have is the fact that the blue on the handle is darker than pictured, it’s almost black.

Great knife for the money
The overall knife quality of the blade and handle are good and the flipping action is great and smooth for this price point, but the handle does feel light and a bit bendy but that was a bit expected at this price.

Good work knife
Got this to replace a D2 blade knife that requires more attention to keep it in top shape. Nice size, blade thickness and grind for my use as a facilities tech. Minor edge maintenance is all I have needed so far. Blade doesn't flex like some other edc offerings I have tried. SS is less maintenance overall. Made in USA is a plus.

Great except for one thing...
I like everything about this knife except the pocket clip, which pokes me in the palm and makes a bad hot spot. Not a big deal if you're just using the knife for an occasional quick cut, but I wouldn't take this knife camping or into any context where I might need to use it for an extended period--the pocket clip would eventually raise a blister for sure. The action is great and the blade is just what I'd expect from an American-made Buck. The texture and shape of the handles is excellent and would be very economical if not ruined by the pocket clip.

Defective open assist
This knife would be used for EDC use, but with this being the poorest quality buck knife I've ever bought, the open assist can't be counted on to open much more than 50 % of the time. Not a knife that can be counted on to open and lock. The handle appears black and not blue. My previous Buck knifes are of much higher quality. Would Not recommend.
