great blade

Great knife, not advertised as a survival knife, but it does all that is needed in the field, And the coating will insure that it does not rust or discolor for years to come.

Wow!!! Nice Knife!

Until purchasing this knife, I did not care much for Buck knives. I stuck to the other big names in really nice bush and tactical knives. This is a bargain price for a top notch knife. I would venture to say it is best in class for what it is too. Fit, finish, and design are all 10 out of 10 and it arrived nicely sharpened. Do not hesitate, buy it. It will most likely exceed your expectations as it did mine.

Masters of heat treatment...

along the lines of Cuda & Gryphon Fighting Knives. You would think Bob Terzuola had a part in designing this knife. BUCK Knives are Masters of cryo/heat treatment of steel. They take what appears to be ordinary steel and turn it into a Super Steel! Just imagine what they do with 5160 spring steel? The point is ground is a way that makes it almost unbreakable! For the blade anti-rust treatment they coated it with the best ceramic coatings made. The scales on the grip are outstanding, unbreakable material. A light and very fast knife which gives no misunderstanding what the knife task it was intended for? Now couple this with a great kydex sheath you just can't pass this up! Highly Recommend. Nice knife

When I first seen this knife I thought wow, that looks sweet. Then I found out it was a Buck knife, haven't been too impressed in the past. When I picked the knife up I felt a totally new feeling Buck knife, well balanced, great weight, great grip. Then I talked to the salesman and he said it was 5160 S/S, great. Then I seen the sheath, thats gotta be worth $50 easy. Anyway, took it home and really love my new Buck knife, totally impressed.

Carried a Buck Woodsmen in Vietnam

Great except for how my hand grips the knife to withdraw it from sheath. The way the knife is situated in the sheath doesn't allow my index finger to completely position itself in the handle's index finger groove. I have to make a secondary adjustment to hold the knife properly from a quick draw... I'm leary of grinding away a small portion of the sheath so my index finger sets in the groove of the handle. Any suggestions? Love to hear them... Otherwise, love it. 5th SFG MACV-SOG DE OPPRESSO LIBER
