Tremendous skinning knife

I've used this knife now to skin several deer the past few years, plus a pig and a few sheep for a friend and the blade design works amazingly well. It slips under the skin without snagging and tearing holes in the skin, and won't damage the meat as long as you're careful. Using a set of paper wheels to sharpen it yields a straight-razor sharp edge that will last through an entire evening of skinning and breaking down an animal. Overall, it's a great knife, it feels nice in the hand, and seems to keep its edge well.

Early production 103

Years of service with this knife proved its worth.i very owned this knife since the early 1980's. The design worked well for skinning, but I've used it in all processing of game. It has held an edge thru 2 large bulls at once; gutting, skinning and quartering. It's my go to for success in North idaho.

Buck Skinner, hunting knife

The look and the finish is excellent. I haven't tried it yet, but I hope to do it soon as a hunting knife.

I have used this knife for years. On everything from elk to bear and deer. By far my favorite knife. Love It.

Looked and Felt Cheap to me

I never used this knife because I decided to return it as soon as I opened the box. It felt and looked cheap to me. The handle seemed slippery and the blade material just didn't feel or look right. On the upside the leather sheath looked good to me. This one's just not for me, but I'm already browsing Knifecenter.com to see what I will spend the refund money on.
