like sandpapering rust?
Shame on me for not doing more homework I suppose. Con (singular): These *are not* anything resembling stainless steel. I know stainless means "stain less"; these are more "stain stain" They will not form a "grey patina" with use as the description says. They will form a rust reddish brown patina... From rust. Every finger print, drop of sweat, use at all that isn't IMMEDIATELY wiped off with oil will result in rust. Don't use them for a weekend, even if you think they are clean Friday night? Rust Monday morning. I'm not working in the coast guard or cutting mermaid hair for a living. These things *will* rust. Some Pro's: They come apart easy enough. Useful. Sharpen easy as well. Useful. Hold an edge, comfortable to use, nice balance, standard size to get a sheath for. All useful. Just be prepared to be getting fine grit sandpaper and giving them a once over weekly. You can try gun oil or graphite or something nightly, but I would still get the sandpaper or a "super eraser". Really nice scissors (shears, semantics, whatever); but being a little more rust resistant or an explanation they went the way they did would be great. I'll keep using them at work until I lose them; but I'm not worried about them getting lifted because they look like I found them in the wreckage of the titanic every few days.
