Great Utility Knife

Great replacement knife for one that was lost in moving. Sharp as all Chicago Cutlery and easy to keep an edge on. My local butcher has over $3000 in "fine" cutlery and still praises Chicago as one of the best. Easy to sharpen and holds an edge. Good value for the everyday kitchen.

The New Chicago Cutlery is nothing like the old stuff.

I purchased 2 Chicago Cutlery 5' inch utility knives to replace two Chicago Cutlery utility knives I had purchased about 25 years ago (Our big puppies loved to chew on the handles). I can't believe this is the same company. Extremely shoddy, compared to what I bought before! The wood was no where near as solid feeling as before. The steel was more on a par to cheap steak knives. SO disappointed!! Just ordered a utility knife from a (hopefully) more qualitatively consistent manufacturer (German made); that I have had great experiences with in the recent past. So sorry!!!!
