The Case Peanut is a classic. It is a small classic “pen knife” for those who want an old fashioned, very capable, pen knife and not a folder. What makes this knife useful is the high profile clip point. The top of the blade is easy to grip and that makes the knife easy to open. Too often with small pen knives (3 inches or less) the blades are so small that it is a struggle to open the blades making the knife more trouble to use than it is worth. The other great thing about the Peanut is its unique shape. It is a joy to look at because of its classic lines. Lastly, the knife is made by hand in Pennsylvania, USA. Other bands are made off shore. Why are we supporting another nation’s economy when so many of our own countrymen are out of work? Case knives are made by Americans for Americans! Support the Case Company. If you are looking for a 3 inch pen knife, you cannot go wrong with the Case Peanut.

The yellow handle peanut is a classic. Carried one for 16 years and lost it. I love Case pocket knives

I have 3 of these great little knives. 2 in ss,1cv. I originally gave these to my sons, who I guess didn't think they were cool enough. There's certainly nothing tacticool about them. However, these a beautifully over built little knives capable of chores way beyond their size. Fit and finish is great on all 3. Good blade snap, no play on the blades. All are very sharp with the cv being wicked sharp. I can use these around anyone without looking threatening. I keep a small swiss army knife on my keychain, which has more goodies than the peanut, but nowhere near the cutting power. You hust cannot beat the quality and cutting ability of the peanut. It's a great alternative edc when a larger knife is inappropriate to carry.

Pros: Weight, Ease of Opening, Blade Material, Overall Quality
Cons: Handle Material
Good Knife
I am more of a collector than a user. Thia ia really pretty knife, and I like th cv blade rather than the ss blade. I do however also own this knife with the ss blade. I think that if I was ordering again I would get a bone or stag handle instead of the yellow handle. I hsve always liked Case knives.
