My father gave me this knife. I knew the moment he gave it to me I would have it for life. Super sharp and very well made. It has been called a boys first knife and that's exactly what it is. My son will be given one when he's a little older. God bless the u.s.a.

I bought this knife 3 years ago and i love it. It holds its edge well. I use it daily. I manage a family grocery store and meat department, my father was a meat cutter and i have been also for 30 years, this is a knife that i enjoy using daily for the countless tasks like opening boxes cutting twine and sharpening pencils. I am now buying one for my son so that he may also carry a quality knife for many years to come. I buy made in the USA products proudly because of the better quality and because i like supporting local artisinal workmanship and this knife is.

Wow I bought one of these for my little brother 30 years ago, I got tired of breaking cheap knives from China (3 in the 3 years) so I decided to oder one since he still has his and uses it daily even through 9 years in the Army. When I opend the box it looked the same one I gave my brother so long ago. Some things just need to be made in America,

I've had mine for many years and it's one of my favorite knives. I am still surprised at how easy that blade is to sharpen! It is the sharpest knife I have, and I have a good number of pocket knives. It has never developed the first spot of rust like some of my others have done. I worked at Lowe's Home Improvement for many years, in the tool department, and I carried that knife with me every day; there was always the need for a good sharp knife with a broad, curved blade like that. Oh...I also use it to cut my prescription pills in half along the score line on the pill. Most people use a razor for that, but I use my very sharp Sodbuster Junior!

This knife has been around for years. The one I just bought is even better than the one I bought years ago. I only needed a new one because the old one got stolen! At any price it's a great knife. For the price, it's a steal!

I purchased this knife to use as my EDC. I needed a knife that would fit well into a pocket without wearing out said pocket. This knife looked like it would work for this and it does very well. It is light, but not too light. It also has a great looking finish which evokes many questions every time I take it out. I was a little worried about not having a lock mechanism but most of my needs do not include really bearing down on the blade anyway and the blade feels very secure in the open position. It is a little stiff when opening and I need to use both hands to get it open. Other reviewers have indicated that the blade motion becomes smoother after some use, but I have not felt much change after 4 weeks of regular use. Overall, I am very happy with this knife. The price was so low I think I might buy a backup and just keep it in a drawer. You will not regret buying this knife.

Case Sodbuster Jr
This is a classic, user friendly knife for everyday use. However, if you're looking for the best quality sodbuster, I find that the Country Cousin from Queen Cutlery utilizes better materials, for a few dollars more.

Tough
I use this as a camp knife because it's a little too big to carry around town. Its perfect for camp chores and food prep. Because I live in south fl, I went with the ss to avoid corrosion around saltwater and fish cleaning. Im good at sharpening, so the ss isn't a problem to keep sharp. Functionally, this knife covers alot of ground.

IM ON THE FENCE ABOUT THIS WHOLE NEED FOR A LOCK. IVE NEVER HAD A KNIFE FOLD ON ME, MAYBE BECAUSE I JUST CUT THINGS WITH MY KNIVES. IF I NEED TO PRY OR DRIVE A SCREW, I USE SOMETHING ELSE... LIKE A PRYBAR OR SCREW DRIVER. ANYWAY, I LOVE MY SODBUSTER JR FOR CAMPING. ITS LIKE HAVING A FOLDING PARING KNIFE. I USE IT ALOT FOR FOOD PREP AND SUCH. IT ALSO CUTS JUST ABOUT ANYTHING THAT NEEDS CUTTING. I ACTUALLY PREFER THE SS MODEL BECAUSE IM AROUND SALT WATER ALL THE TIME. I HAVE NO ISSUES WITH THIS KNIFE TAKING OR HOLDING AN EDGE. SHARPEN IT ONCE POLISH IT OFTEN IS HOW I WAS TAUGHT. THIS IS A REALLY GOOD EVERYDAY GENERAL PURPOSE KNIFE. SPREADS BUTTER AND MUSTARD GOOD TOO.

don't use for vegetables...
Lovely looking knife but the blade bends if you try to cut a pumpkin. Was told that it shouldn't be used for vegetables!
