Just Right
I received my fish knife last week (kudos to KC for their usual fast shipping and good packaging). Through it in my tackle bag and went about my business. Lo and behold I snagged a huge (9”) sunfish yesterday and he wolfed down the lure (probably why he was so large). So, I got to utilize the hook disgorger to great effect, and Mr. Fish’s relief. I know he was relieved because while I was opening my knife he flopped around in the canoe and opened my leg with his fin. Anyway, the Case fish knife works well. The main blade came nice and sharp, a bit shy of shaving but sharper than necessary for general fishing tasks. I read a comment that criticized the length. It is a compact tool, but for most fresh water angling it is completely satisfactory. I wouldn’t want to use it on a pike or a large gar (large fish with real teeth), but for panfish, bass, etc., it’s outstanding.
