Lovely little lockback

I usually carry much bigger "tactical" knives (Benchmade, ZT), which, I admit, is a lot like using a military-spec Humvee to make grocery runs. This, along with a similar knife from KA-BAR, marks my introduction to traditional pocket knives, not super traditional with the single blade and lockback, but perfect for me. Sharp enough, easy to sharpen, nice fit and finish, very light and comfortable in my pocket, and really beautiful.

Birthday gift

Wanted a pocket knife that was close to the same one that he already had which was worn out. He was very pleased and said Case was a much better knife.

Beautiful Knife, Beautifully Made

I haven't had much to do with slipjoint knives with their stiff springs as I have brittle fingernails that break easily. I have been contemplating my knife collection during Covid and wanted to try a Case Copperlock Lockback which I assumed would open easily, which it does. I was really surprised by how beautiful and beautifully made this knife is for $60. Kudus to Case! It is a high polish finish and the smooth bone handle is what I would describe as an orange brown, much like the coral handle on another fancy Case knife I acquired years ago. This knife will be a pleasure to carry and admire over a cup of coffee, and it's so beautiful and non-lethal looking that when I pull it out to cut an apple, none of the politically correct bystanders who seem afraid of their own shadows these days will call a SWAT team on me. I had to touch up its edge out of the box, but that is nothing. I do wish Case would use one of the modern CPM steels, but 420 HC is at least easy to sharpen and this is a Gentleman's knife, not a hard use knife. I highly recommend it to anyone who uses his pocket knives to help fulfill the need for art in his life.
