Sorely Disappointing
I was REALLY looking forward to receiving this knife, since my previous order had been discontinued after a long wait. After excitedly opening the package that finally came, I was hugely disappointed. In person, this knife both looks and feels like a cheap tourist trinket from a roadside stand — too thin, and too flimsy. Looking at the opening, one of the brass liners is gouged, nicked, and scratched, as if it was assembled by a blind worker using tin snips and a ball peen hammer. The action was a bit tight, so I started working it a bit, opening and closing normally. After about the fifth time, the arrowhead Case badge on the side just fell out, onto the table! My assessment: cheap junk. I didn’t expect this for over $80.00. I thought about giving it to my 11 yr old nephew; but he’s savvy enough about knives to recognize junk, and I don’t want to insult him. I’ll probably just superglue the badge back in and throw it in a drawer so I don’t have to look at it. Trying to return it for a refund isn’t worth my time, and I just want it out of my sight. Don’t waste your money!
