This is a great knife.

I have had Case Sodbuster Jr. Knives for the past 40 years. They have been the carbon steel modeks. I decided to get this stainless steel one so I would not have to worry about rust becausi I do a lot of fishing now. I used it a lot on a recent trip to Lake Powell and it was great. Same high Case quality, very sharp and holds an edge, and no worries about rust.

Sodbuster Jr.

A good knife at a great price, plus it's made in the USA. It's easy to open, will be my one of my everyday carry knives.

First Case

Very pleased with this knife. This is my first Case knife and it is great. The slip-joint is very secure. The finish of the knife is great and it came very sharp. Great size for edc or a back up blade. Really looks and feels classic yet I'm not afraid to use it. Great knife.

Excellent knife.

The Case Sodbuster was my first pocket knife that I actually bought myself, as a 16 year old, I've always loved weaponry and tools. I bought this knife at a Tractor Supply in Plainfield, Indiana for around $30. They were almost sold out, but the one in the display case was sold to me. I shaved a patch off my arm after a quick strop on my jeans and loved it ever since. I did a bit of jimping on the back of the blade with a diamond file, didn't turn out so well. I use 1000 grit and 1500 grit sandpaper to sharpen this, and occasionally strop it on my jeans during use, and it shaves my arm and leg hair fairly well. Since I live on a farm, this knife has developed quite a patina on it, good knife for the money.

Sodbuster Jr.

Purchased to use around the house was worried it might be too small but didn't want the larger size. I'm 6 ft 230 lbs this Case fits my hand well, its usual Case quality I've seen before. Only complaint if I had to come up with one is blade is a little hard to open (small nail nick or maybe I'm not used to it yet?) At least for me. I have a couple Emersons and a Case hawkbill pruner which I use all the time but I really like this little Case. Be aware, its a little thicker than other small knives I've had but for the price, quality, usefulness and made in the U.S.A. I don't think it can be beat. Hope this helps

"An American Classic"

I recently purchased a Case Sod Buster Junior with yellow Derlin handles as a gift for a family member, who happens to be a "Gentleman Farmer". A most honorable profession I might add. So would I recommend this knife. Well, the one I received required some minor final fitting of the scales to the frame. That being said, a genuine Case Sod Buster with yellow Derlin handles is one of the most dependable and iconic American pocket knives ever made. So yes, here's a chance to own a piece of history that will well serve as an EDC knife. But over twenty years I personally carried a most serviceable and well worn Schrade model, which is only $9.95 at the Knife Center. And of course then there is the outstanding EKA Swede 38 with an orange handle...
