Misprint.

I was given one of these in the late 70's as a Christmas present, The main blade was stainless but the other one wasn't, I was told that it made it more valuable because it was a misprint. I lost it by leaving it in a chemical suit in 1980 in the US Army chemical school. It was a good knife for every day task.

I carry the 3254 ss Yellow Bone Trapper Before you buy Any Case Knife if it's not stamped USA don't buy it, I keep mine just to shave with so over last 5 years it's paid for itself

I buy this type knife because I'm a traditionalist. I've carried a pocket knife literally all my life. I'm not impressed with Case's CV blade material. I've never been able to keep it clean and polished. I like the Handle Material because it's easy to see.

Review without any long term use ....

Heavier that I wanted BUT ... the quality is there ... I still do not understand why todays knife manufacturers ship out UN sharp knives ???? The one I got was Jagged and not the best .... BUT .. I have gotten way worse in the finish area of scales and pins ....... This knife was a little heavier that I was expecting ... ( I wanted a travel folding steak knife style .. not sure it will be my EDC ) Fit and finish is smooth on the scales and pins ... ... so that is a good thing ! ! ! It did arrive with a rather NASTY gritty feel on both blades when opening and closing ???? ( a little oil seemed to lessen the drag )

Traditional

I bought it primarily because i am collecting traditional knives from different countries, and i guess it doesn't get more traditional than a Case Trapper for the US. It's well built with good fit and finish, everything is flush and no hotspots, easy to open and feels as safe as it gets with a slipjoint. Unfortunately a bit heavy for EDC, otherwise a great knife to own.
