This knife is great for any shop tasks I might need it for. Cutting straps, hoses, plastic, rubber, or cardboard is a breeze with this hard use knife. It has an extremely solid build with zero blade play. The Elmax steel is super sharp. The micarta has a great feel and plenty of grip without being rough on hands. The thicker blase steel does keep it from being as slicey as thinner blades, but that is the trade off upon users must decide. The knife still has no problem completing any tasks I have used it for.
