Reliable and Low Maintenance

A year into shaving for the first time, I noticed multi-blade razors got stuck in my facial hair and/or pulled a lot. Had seen single-blade razors here and there so gave this one a try since it was cheap. I'm 6 or 7 years deep on it and never been tempted to switch again. I use disposables sometimes if I don't want to bring it on trips, but this always gets me a shave that grows out much more comfortably on the skin. The actual blades being dirt-cheap is a huge plus too.

Yes these are good razors but after a few years of use where the handle screws on will come apart.

Great Razor

So far I'm really happy with this razor. I wanted to buy this very model when I was in Munich, Germany years ago, but it was Easter Monday when I was there and all the stores were closed the day when I intended to make the purchase. A great shave every time so far and will definitely save you some money on replacement blades compared to the mach 3's of the world which is an absolute rip off.

Merkur CC163 Double Edge Three Piece Safety Razor, 3" Long

Excellent razor. Took all of one shave to get the hang of it. Somebody mentioned about not being able to get up under their nose, well, your supposed to loosen the handle a half turn when doing those really tight spots. Just an FYI. For convenience and close shave it doesn't get any better or easier than this. Reduces plastics use, all materials 100% recyclable as well. Oh and great price too.

Excellent

I got this as a starter razor. Excellent quality. The handle is long enough to give good control, but short enough to not become unwieldy. Even though this was purchased as a "starter" razor, I don't think I'm going to change.

Happy shaving

This Merkur is great! Gives a nice shave and not a single nick in the month or so that I've been using it. Easy to clean too. No more multi-bladed disposables for me.
