Astonishingly High Quality India-Made Razor
Why buy an India-made razor? I own an India-made metal cocktail shaker that is superbly well-made. I read the very favorable online reviews of the Variant. So I bought it. Service and shipping from Knife Center were excellent. My thoughts after three shaves with the Variant? Fit and finish are excellent. Ditto mechanical operation. Blade fit is perfectly symmetrical. I used the #1 setting for my first pass; #2 setting for a second pass, especially around "stubble islands" either side of my goatee. #3 setting for my neck. Excellent, barbershop-quality shaves. Yep, adjustability makes a difference for me. I'm a newbie brush-lathering and double-edge shaving guy with maybe four months experience. Sort of stumbled into it. Brush-lathering alone will up your shave game enormously. I like double-edge razors, too, because they change my personal hygiene groove, and excellent replacement blades are inexpensive. The shave quality of the double-edge seems to me on a par with better multi-blade razors.
