Cons: Sheath/Scabbard
Is it modern or traditional?
It's a little of both modern and traditional. They didn't go all in on the modern aspect so it left me thinking it's much more traditional. The only thing modern on it is the tsuka. There's no fuchi or kashira.but there is a couple of menucki. The samehade and ito wrap has been replaced by textured G10. It also has a paracord bow on the saya which didn't go over well with me. Kind of honky. The saya is traditional with a kurigata knob and the blade is wholly traditional. Bohe, nice hamon line and chu-kissaki tip. So to me it was more traditional than modern. I removed the paracord and added some shito-domes and wrapped it in some beautiful blue and white sageo. It looks awesome. I have no regrets. My only concern is how thin the saya is. It seems very weak and fragile. we'll see.
