this sword is absolutely amazing. bought from another site but will review here nonetheless. it just rocks.... when I first got it...it didn't "seem" sharp at all...but that all totally deceitful... it all amazing..decided to "hedge" my trees around my yard lol... went thru inch+ branches like they were butter...just insane,, well that's it... amazing blade

I misjudged this product.

I gave this sword a bad review before I actually tried it. This based on the notion that a sword has to be razor sharp for mat cutting. This caused me to delay using it for practice. Which was a mistake since it cleanly cut a tatami mat with one stroke when I did try it. In consideration of what I have learned about swords and their capabilities. This sword would be a good choice for the person who wants to learn to cut.
