Long term review
I've had this knife for a bit over a year now. My first impression was it was beautiful, but the handle was slicker than I like. It took me a month to get past the beauty long enough to sand the handle. Now it's great! The blade was sharp enough, but I decided to give the edge a steeper angle. There was concern when I did this that it would chip easy. Those fears where unfounded with how I use it. Obviously it's no chopper, nor is it suited to boring holes in oak. My first purpose is as a defense blade for trips to town. It's pretty low profile so it doesn't raise eyebrows. Second use is a light household knife. Cardboard and garden hose beware. My third use came as a suprise and really made me love this blade. I butchered a hog with it! From quartering to slicing the bacon, this knife can put in work! Best of all a quick strop was all it needed. It's all it's ever needed since I reprofiled the edge. As long as you use the knife to it's strong suite, it will be an excellent companion. The build quality is there to keep it performing until you turn it over to your kid someday. If you think it looks intriguing get it!
