Love This Knife!!!

Beautiful knife with the white and black accents! Blade is razor sharp, perfectly centered, and the action is very smooth right out of the box! One of my favorite knife steels with S35VN. One of the few knives I have with no lettering on the blade! Thanks, Knifecenter for bringing us this beauty!

Great little EDC

I got this for free with a purchase over a certain amount. My goodness has this thing grown on me. Not expected at all. Good steel, smooth action, and great grind. The hollow grind is super thin and slicey. A diamond in the rough to be sure. I've got Spydercos, pro tech, etc, this is in my pocket more often than not. Stupid how things work out sometimes.

Very impressive knife!

The CIVIVI Badlands Vagabond Knifecenter Exclusive is a very impressive knive. This is the first CIVIVI I have bought. The blade on the CIVIVI Badlands Vagabond is S35NV steel and at first it looks like it is not stamped on the blade, but if you shine a flashlight directly on the base of the open blade on the pocket clip side right above the end if the handle you will see it is stamped very small on the blade. The blade came hair shaving sharp right out of the box and the knife has a nice zipper case and cloth and comes in a nice box. I have a Chris Reeve Unique Large Sebenza and when I compare the finish of the CIVIVI blade with the finish of the Sebenza blade they are of the same quality. The CIVIVI opens very smoothly when opening with the thumb stud or with the flipper due to the ball bearings on either side of the blade pivot, and the fit and finish of everything is perfect. The black pocket clip lets the knife ride low in the pocket so that it is not noticeable, This is a great EDC knife, The blade is top quality steel and large enough for most daily tasks yet the knife is not apt to bring much attention to you when using in public. I would highly recommend this knife!

Amazing fit and finish as usual from Civivi

Great quality as usual from Civivi. I think it’s great that they are offering CPM S35VN on their knives. By the way, ignore all the guys saying that the steel type is not marked on the blade. Civivi marks the steel type on all their blades. It’s very very small and close to the joint. Remember how guys would complain about having all these words and logos on their blades? Well Civivi listened and kept all markings out of the way for a nice clean look. The S35VN marking is there, you just have to look closely for it.

Amazing action

The action and smoothness of opening is excellent. the white color gives you a convince to customize your knife. The steel is not the best bur S35VN is a very good all round steel.

Love it!

Just recieved this knife and it is gorgeous, haven't decided if I will dye the scales or not the white looks pretty d**n good and fell good in the hand , s35vn steel, it IS printed on the blade it is just very small down by the pivot, my civivi pintail, another fantastic knife btw, is printed the same way, the vagabond has a super smooth action with no play in any direction with the blade, it came razor sharp, just a wicked keen edge, seriously in love with this knife I am very happy with my purchase. I recieved the basic blue bugout today too and the vagabond feels, looks, seems a higher quality

Underrated

I've had this knife for quite a while now and it's definitely in the rotation. I think it's crazy they still have them in stock considering the price, blade steel, and overall package you're getting. If your on the fence good luck finding an s35vn knife this nice this cheap. it's just a great value solid quality knife.

I Agree; Great Knife; Great Value!

I own this knife with the Damascus blade, which is prettier, but not as high quality as the S35VN. I'm a widower with some medical issues from Vietnam, and get great enjoyment from playing with and maintaining my 250+pc eclectic collection. I don't hard-use my knives, so most only require a stropping now and then! The Damascus blades perform well with an infrequent touch-up, but I do enjoy a bargain when I see one (vis a vis: the Bestech Swordfish!) This is also a REAL BARGAIN, though I would love to see it with a black washed blade and natural jade G10 scales! Would happily pay the extra bucks! This knife however, is a major player among budget EDCs! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Wow!

I bought this knife on a whim and after seeing the price reduced on Knife Center. I was reluctant about the whole white knife thing. This is a super awesome MFing pocket knife.The weight, the feel, the blade shape, I am not a flipper guy.... even after buying a elementum. This knife is fun, different, and a joy to carry. I don't know how to express it...but I'll try. Buy it, flick it, enjoy it. Then slice something...

Vagabond

Knife is very smooth. Works extremely smooth. The S35vn make cutting and sharping a breeze. I have a spyderco right beside where I keep this and pick this one up every time. Thank Knife center again love my knives. This was an exclusive too Knife center that make a little bit cooler 😎

This knife has a lot of style. It looks even better than I hoped it would. The satin polish on the blade goes really well with white and black accents. It's really lightweight, and smooth as silk to flip. The blade is razor-sharp right out of the box.

Easy Recommendation

This knife can be an easy recommendation for anyone needing a good knife. At this price point you have a natural handle comfortable for anyone to comfortably hold. A well done hollow grind paired with a blade steel that will keep up with any cutting task you give it. Easy blade manipulation for opening and closing. Flipper tab or thumb studs, it will open reliability everytime. The weight also is lighter than what you may expect, and carries deep in the pocket. *chefs kiss*

Worth the extra money (probably)

I have a few Civivi's, but this one has become my favorite. Super smooth action and sharp right out of the box. Blade is perfectly centered with very little play. The FRN handles have decent grip and feel strong, but also feel a little cheap. My only gripe with this specific knife is that the steel type isn't printed anywhere on the blade. My other Civivi's have "D2" and "Nitro-V" written on the blade or flipper. It's ironic, and a bit disappointing, that this upgraded S35V variant has no marking. Oh well, still a sublime EDC.

Got this as part of a Christmas promo, not a knife I would have purchased normally but I'm pleasantly surprised. Fit and finish are good. Balance, weight, action all very good. Overall just has a good quality feel to it that I didn't expect from a budget blade.

Beautifully done

I ordered this Badlands Vagabond Knifecenter Exclusive after seeing one my son ordered. The one I received is, like his, beautifully manufactured and assembled. Cursory inspection out of the box found fit and finish to be great. Edge grind and sharpness is outstanding. Crisp and clean functioning. For a S35VN steel folder this is an excellent bargain. You can see the steel identified on the blade, but it's engraved on the right side, along the front of the bolster, in VERY small font. You'd probably miss it if you weren't looking for it with care, in good light. The only thing I wish was better was the shipping packaging. A soft envelope instead of a box. The Civivi box was crushed. For someone who collects original boxes, it would be disappointing. Good thing Civivi ships their knives in their zippered, slightly padded cases.

Amazing! Mainstay of my EDC rotation

First I want to address the blade steel, particularly the steel indication. It is hard to see but the etching peeks out on the blade near the top of the lock-bar side steel liner. I have used this knife almost exclusively for the last month. This is a super slicey knife especially after putting a 17 degree edge. Friends and coworkers are consistently amazed at how well the knife can cut through cardboard and whittle paper. This cutting performance can be attributed to the blade's thin profile. I can confidently say that this blade will continue to perform well as the hollow grind will keep the secondary bevel thin for quite some time. My only nitpick is that I wish the thumb studs were removable so that I don't run the risk of scuffing them while sharpening. Otherwise I have no complaints. Pick this up if you want a smooth slicey EDC that will last you a while.

Fantastic slicing edge. Perfect dimensions for EDC. Extremely easy and rewarding to customize. I disassembled mine and dyed the handles and liners blue. Results were fantastic! I'm so pleased with the knife that I'm going to purchase another one to customize it for my father!

beautiful knife

Ive never owned a knife with white scales and black trim and polished blade. It is so attractive. honestly, if you are looking for a user knife, you might find this is too pretty to use. I have not used it for that reason. I do play with it but am very careful not to scuff it up. But I keep thinking, the price is cheap so I should. I might get a second one to keep as a trophy queen so I can actually use this one.

Great budget knife!

Cool knife. Bought it because I had a $50 KC Goft card. I quite enjoy the aesthetics. The blade came shaving sharp. I would’ve appreciated a slightly larger finger choil. The handle feels a little weak but not cheap. Great fidget factor. Jimping on the flipper tab irritates my index finger after a few flicks but that’s not an issue really. Also it’s difficult to get a good amount of purchase on the liner lock because the opposing side of the handle is equal to the locking side.

Glad to have it

I'm not a Civivi fan and wouldn't have bought this knife, but I did go for it as a promotion back around Christmastime. I'm glad I did. I've only carried it a few times since, as the bright white and satin makes it seem "too nice" to be a user. But it has been perfectly usable every time. Plus, it gets compliments, which is weird for me. This particular reinforced thermoplastic is not my favorite handle material just based on feel, but the stuff is plenty tough and durable. I'm tempted to dye the scales because that seems to be the intent, and it was free, and it would erode that stigma I have for keeping it sparkling. The action is just as smooth as everyone says. I can see what makes this brand so popular.

Big Flaw

I use knives in this blade length (2.5”-3.25”) for general everyday tasks - cutting card board, opening packages, cutting fruit etc. I have quite a number of CIViIVI knives and I knew I would love this one primarily for the novelty of the white FRN scales and the S35VN steel. This knife is a fail simply because the steel is not identified on the blade. This is a serious mistake in today’s market and I tend to question the knife simply because ALL of my other CIVIVI and WE knives identify the steel by marking the blade
