Phenomenal Knife

This Civivi flipper with the chibourtia wood handle is the best looking and well made pocket knife I've ever held or owned at this price point. The Damascus blade is drop dead beautiful and the flip action is buttery smooth with a rock solid lock. Ordered it on Friday and it arrived the following Tuesday. Big hat tip to KnifeCenter for their easy to navigate site, great price and fast order processing. When you order you'll be pleasantly surprised to discover that it comes with a really nice zippered storage case that isn't mentioned on the spec page. I couldn't be any happier with this knife and I highly recommend.

Gorgeous blade

The picture doesn't quite give the impact of the steel's ability to catch light at different angles, giving it some shimmer, not quite chatoyance. The pattern on mine runs uphill as to the little circles, with good spacing with differences side to side. I imagine each blade is unique in that regard. And it does looked hand rubbed. The flipper is fine, the thumb studs are too and I have no trouble with them. I can shake the blade closed and expect it will drop more of itself with some break in, I'm not going to bother tuning it.

Good feel and action

Just received the knife so this is initial impression. It's very similar to the Benchmade Nakamura that I have been carrying for 4 years. Blade shape is better (completely subjective). This is my first flipper and liner lock so I'm still getting used to them. The action is quick and positive and build quality is very good for the price. Pocket carry is deep and unobtrusive. My only negative is the lock tab could be just a tiny bit taller for easier engagement with the thumb when unlocking the blade.

It is what it is

So, I am a huge WE Knife fan, so I wanted to try out the Civivi since its part of WE Knives. I wanted to see if it was like getting a WE Knife for half the cost. It is NOT. You get what you pay for there is no way around it. It's not bad but theres a reason its at that price point. Action is pretty stiff, blade is SUPER thin, liner lock was not seating very well (barely under the blade, you had to push it over to seat it completely). So, in closing i guess you can say it is not bad for the price point but if you can afford another $150 you can get a great quality true WE Knife.
