Thank you Knifecenter. Got my Brazen today and Civivi is #1 all around, I’m just going to say it. I am blown away how smooth this knife opens. Tanto blade is stabby and slicey. Use the thumb studs or the flipper, this knife feels exactly like my $200 ZT, action wise. So impressed. $49?? For real?? This Brazen has legit drop shut action. Yes, disengage the lock and give it a little wiggle, that blade just falls down into the handle like a Para 2. The detent is so perfect you can’t mess up when you flick it open. I tried to just barely push on the flipper tab but that blade still flys outta there like a rocket. Civivi must have figured something out with their ceramic ball bearings. You can’t find that quality anywhere for $49. Fair to say I’m a knife nut, and of all the brands on the market that I look at every day on these knife websites, Civivi is puttin out the best quality stuff for the price. Their blade grinds are way more slicey than their higher end “WE” knives and the quality feel is basically the same🤣 you can’t go wrong here 🍻
This knifes fit and finish is flawless, good weight, good balance. The tanto profile makes for a great strong tip. I carry the purple Brazen as my EDC when I want to feel crazy as the Joker. The clean crisp lines speak to me bringing order to the chaos of the bright purple scales. The D2 blade is perfectly honed right out of the box and thinnish bladestock just glides through whatever i cut. Highly recommended!
I love this knife as a self defense weapon. Its wicked sharp and has a great spear tip at the end that makes this knife a great self defense weapon, with the purple scales making this knife seem more innocuous than it is. The knife isn't too heavy, the thumb stud makes it easy to flip out, while the flipper is only mediocre. I don't have large hands/fingers and the flipping mechanism doesn't flick out the knife at a strong fast clip or with a satisfying click when out. The liner lock is also just so so. On the other hand, you can partially pull out the knife with the thumb stud, do a flick of the wrist and this knife does a great flick and click. The handles look more plush than in person but they will do. I am overall satisfied with the quality of this knife and will be taking it on car and camping trip and if there is a zombie apocalypse out there.
