This has to be one of Civivi’s greatest hits. Full flat grind, slicey blade, great stone wash, button lock, nice micarta scales. This has become one of my favorite knives and I can’t stop carrying it. It’s attractive and that fuller is so good! I’m the type that loves multiple forms of deployment so having the fuller for middle finger flicking on top of the flipper tab is a massive win. The one nit pick I have is the pocket clip. For the price of the knife it’s a little disappointing to have such a flimsy feeling pocket clip. I swapped mine with the “aftermarket” Civivi milled titanium clips, it brings up the whole experience and feel of the knife. Knifecenter please collaborate for an exclusive version! I would love to see a light stone wash S35VN blade with different scale variations, shredded carbon scales, jade g10 scales. I do love nested scales but that may be too far from the original design…

Civivi knocked it out of park , detent is little weak but makes it very fidgety, drop shut action, killer ergos , excellent budget offering . Gotta also sat I was blow away at how fast knife was shipped to me had it in 2 days from ordering Knifecenter is awesome.

Perfect EDC!
My favorite Civivi EDC until now was the full sized Asticus, but it has it's pluses and minuses: + Thin profile makes it disappears in a cargo pocket or waistband; + Deep hollow grind blade makes for a very easy touch up to get it razor sharp; + Nice ergonomic shape of grip accommodates different grips; - G10 grip panels are decorative, don't extend to the edges of the liners, lack of grip material = hot spots if you have to use it for very long. - No jimping on top of frame or back of blade makes it a little harder to control if your hands are wet or cold. Well, the Conspirator takes care of all of that. The grip shape and angle is the same as the Asticus, but slightly shorter. The black micarta grip panels extend and blend in nicely with the frame, and are nicely rounded. If the grip is going to create a hot spot under all day use, I can't find it. Although the blade is a flat grind, it came out of the box razor sharp, like all my Civivis. The flipper has the same satisfying "snap" as the blade locks, and the button lock is easy to use with either hand. A nice line of jimping at the rear of the blade gives you a little bit more control on more difficult cuts. I can't think of anything I would change on this knife! Perfect intro to folding knives
I bought this for my special ladyfriend as her first folding knife, and she couldn’t be happier. She’s not a knife person and has never carried one edc-style until now. She was concerned about cutting herself while closing the knife, and was hesitant about using a piece utilizing a liner/frame lock. I purchased this knife due to the button lock, as I own the Elementum with that locking mechanism and was really impressed with it. If you’re on the fence about buying this knife, my recommendation is to go ahead and get one. It’s a good knife, and worth the price.

Love this knife - 4 different ways of opening it. As a left-handed user, I certainly appreciate all the options and the reverse carry pocket clip! I don't mean to over sell it, it's just a really fun knife and currently my favorite out of my collection. Thank you, Civivi!

my favorite civivi button lock
I have found this knife to have a 6 deployment methods. The lockup was perfect, no lock stick after a bit of fidgeting, and the micarta seems undamaged after about 6 months of carry. i just clean it with a bit of rubbing alcohol and it looks new. I hate micarta though, i wish this came in g10 or titanium or aluminum or even zebra poop (yes that's a material). the knife came extremely sharp out of the box, and the steel (nitroV) is a new favorite of mine. the only real con of this is the pocket clip. It's like they created a pocket clip that works, barely works, but is also quite a protrusion.

Civivi knives are great. Budget minded, good steels and handle materials, always sharper than most any other knife brand from the factory. This one is I exception. Great action, super sharp, no blade play, honestly this thing damn near push cuts. HOWEVER, and I hope Civivi reads these, the pocket clip as usual is garbage. It’s very long, has a huge ramp for no reason that gets caught on things you brush your hip against. They do this to all their knives. Civivi, how hard can it be to change the pocket clip. Go buy a Bugout, and copy that clip, your clips are the absolute worst. Heck, do a wire clip. That would be fantastic.

I love the three optional ways to open the most handsome Civivi folding knife ever made (flipper, use thumb on blade to roll it out, and the button lock). The black micarta is sharp and perfect looking, the silver blade is sharp and full sized without all that black coating (thank you!), and opening and closing this knife either with the flipper or button lock is super easy with my normal sized female fingers (which is a blessing since so many flippers don't open that well for me as compared to the videos I see with male reviewers opening knives with their larger hands and longer and stronger fingers). My only complaint is the cheap and flimsy pocket clip. I don't even use pocket clips on my knives and this one already bent a bit from just handling the knife. I agree with the other reviewer that they need to improve the terrible pocket clips on the Civivi's. This is my 7th Civivi knife (and 6th folder). In conclusion, the Conscriptor is by far my favorite Civivi. I am detracting one star for the terrible pocket clip that many have complained about.
