Conspirator is already a great knife, the upgraded steel is a great addition and very sharp out of the box, the aluminum scales are just right and give it a nice overall weight. This is my 3rd conspirator and probably my favorite, its ALMOST better then one with unlocked composite scales.

I can’t say enough great things about this knife. I just received it, so I haven’t put it to hard use, but it’s love at first sight. I have several knives at varying price ranges, and this one might beat them all. The action is amazing. Feels great in the hand. My new favorite.

Love it. Quality materials (I did upgrade to a ti clip from Civivi because it looks cool). Action I would describe as silky. Smooth. Zero button stick. I’d recommend.

A great knife made even better!

I already thought the Conspirator was a good knife, but this exclusive made it even better! The aluminum scales are a nice touch, and the S35VN blade steel is a nice upgrade.The original Nitro-V is a decent steel, but the S35VN will hold an edge longer, so less sharpening. The knife looks good too! It came nice and sharp, the blade is nicely centered, and the action is smooth as silk. The blade stock is thick enough to hold up to all my cutting needs, while being thin and tall enough to let it come to a nice thin slicey edge.There is no hint of button stick, and it's comfortable in hand. I can recommend this knife, and would absolutely buy it again were I to ever need another one. KnifeCenter has great exclusives. As a collector, I own several of them, and their customer service is top notch, so if you're considering buying one of these, just go ahead and pull the trigger!

Was looking for a button lock folder to add to my edc rotation. I have one other button lock folder, it’s a WE limited edition Exciton which I do not edc. When I saw DCA show this Knife Center exclusive version with the aluminum handle and S35VN blade I immediately knew that it was the one to try! First of all is that the knife comes with a nice little zipper case, a cleaning cloth, and even a lanyard with a Civivi bead in addition to a little knife decal. None of my more expensive high end folders came with all that included. I’ve seen some complaints about the button lock sticking and understand what they are saying but a simple firm push of the button does the job easily. You can deploy the blade easily using the flipper tab, the fuller groove, or depressing the button lock and a flick of your wrist. The blade itself has a nice flat grind, is razor sharp out of the box, perfectly centered, has a good amount of jimping and a large enough recasso so you can move your hand forward for precision control in detailed cutting. The blade slices easily and lock up is rock solid. The spine of the blade is probably sharp enough to throw sparks from a ferro rod ( haven’t tried yet ). All in all a very nice addition to my daily carry rotation.

Malibu on a Budget

The Knife Center Conspirator is a great budget knife; however, when you add S35VN blade steel and Black Aluminum Handles and you get a budget Protech Malibu ... The action is snappy but there is a bit of lock stick which I am breaking in ... The blade came razor sharp and the satin finish had a tiny "S35VN" stamp with no additional markings ... I recently upgraded the clip to the Civivi Ti Clip which classes it up ... I currently have a We Banter which has similar action and comes close on build quality (the We Banter black blade finish looks better ... The size is close to a PM2 and it can be opened via flipper or goove in the blade ... I would recommend this knife to anyone looking for a button lock flipper with premium steel, a decent clip (better with the Ti Clip), and great action.

Wow, what a value!

I have the regular version of this knife and now this one. This one is worth the extra money. The jimping is slightly different , feels slightly more agressive The action is much smoother out of the box than my regular one is after break in and oiling. I didn't notice any lock stick, where the other one had a bit when new. Also the blade came much sharper (and should hold an edge better). Maybe my other one was a dud, but it hardly cuts paper from the factory. This version I can shave with right out of the box. The aluminum handles make it feel like a higher quality knife, although really I do prefer the micarta handles on the regular version. The only critisim I have is that the handles could use some texturing and the pocket clip is just ok, but hey for just over $100 this is a great knife in a great steel.

Possibly the best bang for your buck ever

The OG Conspirator was already one of my favorite budget EDC knives and these upgrades really bring it to the next level. Personally the simplicity of the design always was a plus for me treating this as a pure tool. The aluminum handles and upgraded steel just make this so much better. This feels like a tank now! On my OG the button lock "detent" was a little light and I could forcibly shake the blade out but on this one, it is rock solid. The only drawback is the clip, on both. It does was it is supposed and works fine, I just don't like the base clip. I had previously ordered some of the replacement milled clips and with that installed this is near the perfect knife for me and one I don't feel bad about using hard. You will be hard pressed to find a better tool in this price bracket if you ask me. KC killed this exclusive.

This knife quickly became one of my favorites. Nice slender design that fits great in the pocket. Action and acoustics take it over the top. I just keep reaching for it. Best 100 dollar knife out there.

Knife of the Year so far!

This knife arrived for me and was so impressive I felt compelled to drop a review. Almost everything about this knife feels perfect. The neutral handle ergonomics, matte aluminum handle, the beautiful satin finish S35VN blade... I don't think Civivi has put out a better knife with their name on it. Literally my only complaint with this knife is that they didn't put the titanium milled clip on it by default. Knifecenter got this with their exclusive CJRB Pyrite and I think it made a nice difference. Had to drop another 13 bucks to get Civivi's titanium clip off Amazon to really complete this knife properly, but it's still worth it even at that total price in my opinion. Probably going to be my favorite knife of 2023. Knifecenter is killing it with their exclusives lately - keep it up!

Top Notch Civivi

I was already a fan of the Micarta Conspirator has one of my favorite EDC/Civivi knives I own. This version with the Aluminum handles really makes it an upgraded version. Great edc Great Value

If your considering buying this knife i recommend pulling the trigger and getting it while they are available. I carry this knife with me every day. It is a great tool for daily tasks, from opening packages to food prep. I have takin it to the lake and uses it for opening containers, cutting and peeling fruit for the family. I use it for making feather sticks and starting fires on the weekends when we grill in the back yard on the fire pit. It also gets used to cut packages when they arive at the house The over all blade shape is incredibly useful for my regular tasks. Paired with a nutral handle as well as aluminum scales feels great and I like the weight it ads to the knife. The jimping on the spine gives good grip and keeps your thumb from slipping. The three ways to flip it open make it great for fidgeting. It is smooth and snappy when it opens and is satisfying everytime I use it. I love the shape of the knife blade and look with the drop point and satin finish. Holds a good edge and was razor sharp out of the box.

Beautiful Knife

It has been a long time since a knife has made me say "whoa" when I first open it. When I first saw this Knifecenter exclusive, I couldn't stop thinking about it, and knew I needed to buy it. This is, in my opinion, the nicest Civivi currently on offer. Knifecenter and Civivi took an already stellar knife, and made it even better. The combination of S35VN blade steel and black aluminum handles, and polishes blade make this seem like a completely new knife. I would put it somewhere on the intersection of gentlemen's and tactical knife. Fit and finish are excellent, action is smooth and fast, and the button lock is tight. The jimping on the flipper tab and blade is also perfect, grippy but not sharp, and the edge is shaving sharp, all of this for under $110? The only think that lets it down is the standard Civivi pocket clip, but this can be remedied with the addition of a titanium clip. Another home run by KC and Civivi.

Beautiful Knife

I have had the original Civivi Conspirator in my EDC rotation since it came out, and it is an excellent folder that I thought would be difficult to improve on, but Civivi has done it. When I opened this new knife I was immediately impressed by how clean and beautiful this knife is. The new KnifeCenter exclusive Conspirator seems to be somewhere in the intersection of gentlemen's knife and tactical folder with the black aluminum scales and polished S35VN blade. This combination makes for a truly striking combination and in my opinion, is the best knife currently on offer by Civivi. The ONLY thing that lets it down a bit is the standard Civivi pocket clip, which I plan to swap out for a Titanium clip in the near future. I am sure to keep the price of this knife under $110, the use of the standard pocket clip was necessary. The action is perfect, the blade shaving sharp, and the button lock is solid. If you are on the fence, pull the trigger and ignore the negative reviews.

Super exited for upgrade but skinnier knife…

Sweet knife, however knife overall is actually slimmer than the original conspirator despite what it says. Blade stock, scales, pivot and stand offs are all almost a whole mm thinner. Something to keep in mind when buying aftermarket scales and backspacers… Personally having an issue with carbon composite scales and back spacer I bought for the knife. Backspacer too thick, had to wet sand it down to fit. Now the pivot keeps comming loose because the scales are thicker than the aluminum scales so the pivot isn’t screwed all the way in technically…

Very nice, but with some missed opportunities

I was overjoyed when I saw Knifecenter offer this exclusive. I had been carrying a standard Conspirator for about half a year, and it was a favorite of mine. However, I always thought the blade steel could have used an upgrade. Never got the nitro V as sharp as I wanted. But I love S35vn, so I jumped all over this one. So, lets talk about the good. Blade is very sharp, and I have no doubt s35vn will hold up very well over time (it's already shaving out of the box). Action is super smooth, and I would say just as fast as my standard Conspirator with Skiff bearings. Handle is nice, looks high class. I like aluminum in general, but the micarta on the original is maybe better for every day use. Now for the missed opportunities. As we're speaking of aluminum handles, this one could have a bit more texturing. I've never lost it in the flip, but the original micarta feels more secure. Next, the pocket clip. Ugh. I was quick to switch it out for the titanium one on Amazon, and I consider that a "must upgrade" item. I was pleasantly surprised that it matched the aluminum spot-on. And finally, the blade. Like another user here, mine came with a slight discoloration. I don't know if I'd go so far as to call it a "patina", but it's noticeably bluer than my other satin finished s35vn blades. Makes no difference to me really, but I was surprised. And lastly, I was really looking forward to seeing how fast the action was on this one, once I swapped in my Skiff bearings from my other Conspirator. Imagine my surprise when I found that they didn't fit! Apparently Knifecenter used different geometry under the scales, and the Skiff bearings I have are too big. Seems a little strange that they would go through the trouble to grind a blade differently, but couldn't trouble themselves to recess and upgrade the clip, a common complaint with this knife. Ah well. In conclusion, I still feel that for the money this is a must-buy, and a huge upgrade (with all it's respective warts) over the standard version.

I guess I am the odd one

I have not held the OG so I can't compare it to itself But for me this knife is just meh. i should like it besides the satin blade finish that looks cheap I would have taken any finish over this one not done well. But the minimalist lines, I love the basic color scheme. And I nice thin edge All what I like but now the bad the pocket clip is terrible with everything else being smooth and simple that janky clip just feels so wrong on it does not really have bad hot spots it's just feels wrong like holding a piece of junk in your hand with the knife like it just does not belong. Now I can't speak to how it cuts which I am sure it will do well but I have not used it cause I will be sending it back I don't know I might buy a titanium clip and swap it see if that fixes it

Could be better

I own both versions and love it as my edc BUT for an upgrade it falls short. Received my new and improved version yesterday and almost sent it back immediately. Blade came very patina'd out of box. Seriously like unpolished after heat treat....but I polished it back to a shine. Next problem is button sticking which hopefully wears in over time. This is my favorite steel although I can't say anything bad about nitro v. Will be in my pocket most days I imagine....

Mixed feelings

Mixed feelings on this knife. Pros: Cuts well. Cons: Button lock is sticky, the action/detent is weak and unsatisfying, aluminum handle has no texture or contours so it feels slick. It has basically been regulated to only cutting up boxes.
