EDC

Saw this on the Blade West Cut challenge. 54 vs. 1 or 2 from way more expensive knives. I have carried it for a little over a year, tuned it up a couple of times, still razor sharp. I own a bunch of other knives but this is the one I trust and use the most. I am left-handed but it is an easy one-hand open/close. I cut zip ties, rope, boxes, pried open some molding the other day, it just works and it fits in the pocket perfectly. Plus the blade is long enough for bigger stuff.

Love the button lock

The button lock is amazing. Its so easy to deploy and close. Almost like magic! Its now my favorite knife lock. The knife is great overall. No complaints at all. Love the hallow blade grind with a strong tip. I only have one wish, not a complaint. I wish the knife handle were a little thinner. Its not what I would consider thick, 0.43" I believe, but right at 0.40" would be perfect. I definitely plan on buying more of these Civivi button lock knives!

Nice!!! Very impressed.

I’m so impressed with this knife. Firstly, the button lock is so well executed. It is very smooth, much better than much more expensive knives with button locks that I own. This is most definitely a fidgetty knife. It is very addictive to open and close. At first, I thought I would not like not having a flipper, but it works very well without it. Just a flick and the blade flies open. Same for closing it. Secondly, the blade, I love the blade. It has such a beautiful stone wash. The knife came incredibly sharp. The Sandvik 14C28N takes a very wicked edge. It is thin at the edge, with a nice hallow grind. The blade is perfectly centered. The new length of the knife also gives you a different knife, at an inch longer overall. The 3.5” blade is very useful. I like the original Elementum, but wow!!! I really love this new version of the knife. We Knife Co. is now one of my favorite knife makers. They keep producing great knives. I hope they continue to make great quality knives at affordable prices. I highly recommend this knife.

Great knife. Not that green.

I love the shape, the size, and the action. Excellent knife. And while I love the feel of the micarta (with a slightly more fabric feel than resin feel), I ordered the dark green micarta and it came much more like gray micarta. Just a heads up, if you wanted more of a true green.

Expected better

I know its not an expensive knife. I have other civivi knives. But the scale material was frayed. Hardware loose on one side. And the button was a pain. Had to disassemble and put it back together for it to work remotely ok. Not sure how this one passed QC.

could be better

I think Civivi dropped the ball on this one. Adding a flipper would have eliminated the need of wrist flicking, which wears down lock systems rather fast; the inertial force of the movement makes the blade hit the stop harder than it needs to be. I like the length of the blade, profile, steel and the micarta scales, but I stopped wrist flicking my knives many years ago after breaking some of them. This one is not being used and will possibly be sold in the near future.

Sticky Butto

I'm really disappointed. The button is rock-hard. There is no give and it is difficult to know when it is depressed enough to release the blade.

It’s overrated

I admit I fell for the Civivi hype. This Button lock is hot garbage. After just 4 days of daily use the button was sticking. The pocket clip is flimsy. For the price there’s better folders out there. Don’t fall for the hype.
