Here's the skinny.....

So I've owned a few civvi knives in the past. The general perception holds true. These knives are best in market at price point and beat the other oem budget brands virtually every time. I believe this is because they keep the same quality and build standard with the WE knives. The only difference you're then getting is in the materials used and obviously this really makes this knife A WE and not a civvi. That being said its branded civvi and is as such the most expensive model ever produced. If your wondering will it be worth the money....so long as you like or think you'll like the button lock feature it is worth every penny and your actually getting a pretty good bargain. Only tiny nitpick I would have is the button itself, size is quite small. Other then that.....GET ONE. TRUST ME.

Amazed!!! *****

This is my fourth button lock Elementum knife, and I have to say, I'm pleased despite the price increase for this version. Thankfully I can feel, and see - where that money went. The flat grind worried me a bit but getting it in hand, it's plenty thin enough behind the edge with this grind to do all the same edc tasks as the other models. This model will break down cardboard boxes, slice paper, utility cut, open up mail, cut chord, and peal apples with all the same performance as the other models. With the added upgrade to CPM 20CV steel blade, it also came hair splitting sharp. The groove/fuller makes manipulating the blade once the button is pressed - so much more controlled and premium feeling. The finish on this blade is the nicest satin in my current collection and looks nice n' polished, edges are knocked down in all the spots you'd want them to be. The finish will finger print more but given the premium theme of the version and the provided microfiber cloth, I'm fine with that aspect. The titanium scales, this version has does add more weight, but, feels more substantial in lock up then any of my other Elementums. The titanium clip seems to go in and out of the pocket even easier, as well. (Possibly something to do with how the material manipulates) This beautifully designed model just got better with this exclusive and is quickly becoming a favorite in my knife collection of more than 30 folding knives. ***** Fast shipping, great service. Thanks, Knife Center!!! 😎👍

Solid

If there's one word that could sum up this knife, it would be "solid". It's slightly heavier than a 1 oz/inch ratio, but it feels just right to me. The blade lockup is perfect, with no play. It locks into open or closed with perfection. The button is perfectly balanced, requiring a deliberate action to unlock the blade without being hard to push or too easy to unlock by accident. The action is better than buttery smooth right out of the box. It's also perfectly centered. It's comfortable to hold, with all 4 fingers of my XL sized hands getting a good purchase with a little extra room if needed. The sides are smooth without being slick. I could see it getting slippery if something gets between my hands and the knife, but that's one of the tradeoffs when choosing smooth vs. textured scales. The gimping is excellent, sharp enough to grab without being painful, extending far enough to be useful. This is the sharpest out-of-the-box edge of any knife I've purchased. (Previous best was on a Benchmade.) Though I haven't had much time to use it, the use of 20CV for the blade leads me to expect it to hold that sharpness for a long time. I also really like the style of this knife. My tastes run to to clean lines with beautiful textures to provide character and colors that really complement each other. This knife has those qualities. This knife really needs four words to describe it fully: Solid, Smooth, Sharp, and Stylish.

Premium Knife Materials at an affordable price.

This is fantastic! Premium American Steel, Titanium handles, Flat grind blade, drop shut smooth, very sharp! The button lock is pretty much ambidextrous, as I am left handed and can easily operate the button lock. I have seen listings and videos on the Elementum but this premium version is beautiful and fantastic!

A great knife

I absolutely love this Knife Center exclusive. I have three Elementums. I got the micarta button lock and the carbon fiber Damascus. This new edition is by far my favorite. Any other knife with the materials used wood be $200 plus. I'm still amazed by how Civivi can sell this version under $200. The button lock mechanism is great and the knife has amazingly smooth action. The only complaint I have is I wish Civivi would design the same knife but with a detent added and an alternative means of deployment such as a flipper tab. Please keep up the great work Civivi. I'm a huge fan and love your products dearly.

Even better in person...

If all you care about is fidgeting with your knife, this may not be the knife for you. If you care about a quality build, excellent blade finish, superb closing action, and safety, buy this knife. The size is perfect for EDC, and you still have some fidget capability. This may be Civivi's most expensive knife, but it feels closer to a WE product. I do wish the hardware (back pivot) and back spacer were titanium, but I can live without it.

Best 180 I've ever spent.

I purchased this as another novel knife to add to my collection at a reasonable price relative to the materials and quality I've come to expect with the brand. However after handling it, it's replacing my current EDC. It's incredibly solid, slicey as all hell, and the weight is just lovely. It's the kinda knife that compels you to cut things that you'd otherwise tear. The quality is without question on par with some of my knives that I've spent four or five times on. Really knocked it out of the park with this beast.

Better than expected.

I have the micarta and G10 versions of the button lock Elementum and I think they are great. This one is so much better that it feels like a different knife. The operation is smooth and the lockup is tight. Blade came sharp. It just feels like a higher quality knife in the hand and the photos don't do it justice. This has become my new favorite carry knife. Highly recommend this knife without reservation!
